kpop stans love to pretend aespa are tanking on spotify but this shows they have the most consistent streams and longevity out of all SM acts! Like the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th most streamed SM songs released within the past 2 years belong to them so....

For some reason SM acts as a whole have bad global streams, especially when compared to other Big 4 companies. SM has a very huge roster, but only aespa, RV and EXO have somewhat good streams, but SM keep shelving them.

It won't really be big issue for Jimin at all since the  3 acts have complete different demographies, unless there's a chance that Jimin will go #1 on BB200, then Jimin should be concerned

I mean this looks like just daily data that you have pulled. The monthly and yearly data shows Red Velvet is consistently the best performing on Spotify in SM.

 

But aespa is not doing badly, but they do have some work to do on Spotify, however I think the emphasis on this metric is arbitrary by other fanbases, because there's little other opportunity to criticize the group. aespa has proven they can sell albums and sell out arenas and other venues in multiple countries. They are also still sitting pretty with the biggest album sales and biggest overall Korean hit in the 4th gen. They've only just passed the 2 year anniversary so there's still much they are capable of achieving

Since illusion and Black Mamba are aespa's most popular songs on spotify, maybe the public wants a gp friendly but still aespacore song next cb? 

Also the last image kills me cause stan twitter was acting like aespa didn't even make the top 100 but they literally were at #11 just after Red Velvet

Circle = number of albums shipped based on stock demand (partly why major companies tend announce stock pre-orders these days)

 

Hanteo = number of albums actually sold in stores (but it only tracks Hanteo affiliated stores, not all stores. So it's not the complete number, but accurate enough).

 

There is always usually a gap between Hanteo and Circle. Companies have to report shipments to Circle, whereas Hanteo tracks independently. Sometimes Hanteo sales can be higher than Circle shipments in cases where the company has been slow to report shipments. A large gap between Circle and Hanteo tends to be a biT suspicious too.
