The nursery rhyme sample in that NMIXX release completely ruined the song for me

Didn't Rihanna do this on her last album with Same Ol' Mistakes and it's agreed by a large portion of critics and fans that it's one of her best songs?

It's common practice. Beyoncé has done it, The Pussycat Dolls most iconic hit is a re-recording of a song released by a small artist from their label at the time, Katy Perry has done as mentioned on this thread, the list goes on and on. Demi Lovato literally release a SNSD song a few months after them like... There's nothing shameful or worthy of lashings and backlash if the original creators are credited.

on the other hand, ITZY have been around for almost 4 years, of course they have better chemistry both on stage and off stage

NMIXX only have had less than 1 year and Jinni leaving must've taken a toll on their chemistry altogether

aespa sell more, have better streams, and their supposed underperformance was a top 10 hit and they never flopped yet. If STAYC can come back after bombing with Beautiful Monster everywhere, then what makes you think aespa won't bounce back after having a TOP 10 HIT!????
