The HYBE payola definitely had a big factor in NewJennies success, however, none of the other HYBE groups are dominating like NewJennies right now. However it is definitely weird that a huge group like NewJennies' are having atrocious and abhorrent YT views, yeah I know that they don't use ads, however their like ratio is also bad with almost none of their MV's passing 1M likes etc. 

Other groups are still stomping on them on YT even if you were to remove their ads. YT is still the number #1 site  after Google and has the biggest reach globally (more than Spotify ever will), so y'all better stop downplaying YT just because your fave is doing horrible there. 

I've always wondered about this  Like, when BP was dominating, they had everything. Album sales, youtube views, spotify streams, social media, etc.

 

It makes no sense to me that they consistently sell more albums than they get likes on youtube  

 

But their social media engagement on their instagram is high (some posts have 2M+ likes showing they are popular)

 

If you look at google trends they aren't close to BP in searches (or even TWICE) so its like bizarre to me they're smashing so hard when no one really knows them.

 

BP is being searched 6x as much but NJ is snatching their streaming records on spotify and stuff

 

I don't think it's a conspiracy theory or anything, but I do think HYBE is definitely pushing them on streaming services because they are doing so abnormally well there without having any recognition (especially in the west). 

 

For a group that's under a year old they've already had 3 songs on TTH

 

It's so interesting to watch their success even as a non stan because it's so bizarre
