1st peak: Late 90s teen pop explosion with BSB, Britney, NSYNC

(Then he survived the 2000s with the pop-rock genre/Kelly's Breakaway era)

2nd peak: Pop Renaissance from 2008 to 2016 (starting with So What going #1, 3 debuting at #1, Teenage Dream, 1989, etc. up until Can't Stop The Feeling which became a global smash)

3rd peak: Pop Resurgence starting from 2020, Blinding Lights arguably becoming the biggest hit of his songwriting/production career, Save Your Tears becoming another global hit, My Universe going #1, still ongoing I guess, we'll see

The electropop era had him shaping pop with Katy, P!nk, Maroon 5 and Taylor Swift so that one obviously.

Electro pop era for sure (although My Universe is a major bop)

Probably his 2nd peak since it lasted the longest, tho his Britney joint and Weekend track are arguably the biggest pop singles of the 21st century? honestly idk. I think his Katy era was the one I most identify with tho

His 2nd Peak was IT :jonny6:

His new work (bar Abel) is so bland and boring :rip:

His pop rock era, luv his song "What the Hell" he did for Avril Lavigne

Gorgeous: Taylor Swift

OT: second peak

The teen pop era felt big but wasn’t actually that big because urban was dominating (at least in America).. it was also very short lived.

so the obvious answer is the electro pop era that was basically an entire decade of dominance

2nd peak but there's some genuinely god-tier gems in the other phases. If there was any justice, 2 Be Loved would be his next #1 (atm).

2nd peak. but avril made him flop with goodbye lullaby.

His 2nd renaissance was his best but I have to say I REALLY love the sound of his first few hits. Like that 90s teen pop sound is what my dreams are made of lmao. The bridge into an altered chorus into the final chorus overlaid with the bridge AND the altered chorus ad libs?! Good lord no one was climaxing like that.
