I don't know, he has been on top since late 90's. I don't even see different "eras".

His 2nd peak, definitely. He dominated pop music at the time. If you wanted a hit, you went to Max Martin.

 

His 1st peak was big, but crashed like a stock market (his words, not mine) when Britney and JT started working with other producers (Neptunes, Darkchild, Timbaland) and BSB lost relevance.

 

Nowadays, he's very hit or miss. He can still give us a smash every now and then (see: his work with Abel and Ariana), but he's not what he used to be, which is fine.

The 2010s were cute since he ruled the charts but it feels like Britney’s era when she got 4/5 of her her #1s in a short era

I kinda feel like the teen pop era is the most distinctive and iconic. Time will tell but it just doesn’t feel like his other eras had the same level of impact or resonance in culture 

 

And I say this as someone who finds that era to be quite annoying
