JoJo, for your Grammy consideration!

If the stars aligned she definitely would win and I really hope she gets nominated but the way the Grammys snubbed her Magnus opus Good To Know which most likely was one of the causes of her mental breakdown last year  they can literally just f*k themselves.

...with booking that stage you speak of...

I wouldn't be shocked if the PJ Morton Collab snatches a win. And she'll get the award this time because she co-wrote

Why Dissolve though? Wasn't Worst (I Assume) the single?

the better song :giraffe:

OT:

her PJ Morton collab has a huge chance to win Traditional R&B but also since everybody and their mama submitted to R&B album, she has a chance to at least get a nod in Progressive R&B album

TNTTAI is such a solid project. It definitely deserves an R&B album nom; same for Dissolve. Spiral SZN has no chance though even though it's a great bop.

Shouldn't even be for your consideration, should just be "for the Grammy". After "Say So" won, you can tell she is going for one of her own.

The likeliest nomination is obviously My Peace but she really does deserve more. I like that they went for Dissolve, one of her best ever songs, and progressive R&B Album given that it can spring surprises  like Eric Bellinger last year.

Is this real? I knew she obviously had a breakdown but didn't think this contributed to it.

I definitely respect the tenacity. I'm obsessed with Jojo, I know she pretty much got screwed by the industry itself.

She's very talented and a humble queen who genuinely enjoys the process of music and her fans which is amazing.

I just don't see this album being a Grammy contender.

I feel the same about GTK. They both just don't resonate with the GP.

I don't like that she rests so much pressure on a Grammy (if the breakdown thing is accurate). It's all payola from a corrupt industry nowadays anyways.

I believe it was a culmination of many factors, such as her tour being postponed then cancelled with the pandemic. From her interviews, it seems that the biggest factor was having to let go of her ex who is now married with children -- a big subject of Good to Know.
