With Rihanna coming back to perform at the SBHTS, I'm seeing a lot of camaraderie from the Navy and Hive. The ones seething seem to be coming from other bases of talented women, while the stans of the two most culturally important artists of current times are showing nothing but support for one another. 

 

Is the long-standing Navy vs Hive rivalry over? Are we finally getting the TICON alliance we all fought so long for? Will the Monsters be able to fill the space that the Navy is leaving behind? Post your thoughts. 

Honestly I feel like the rivalry has been over since Rih quit music  I guess the bases didn't feel threatened by each other since their faves were occupying totally different spaces

 

We'll see what happens when R9 drops though

It’s been over since 2017 Grammy night when Rihanna was snubbed  and Beyoncé didn’t take home the big prize.

 

at that point, many from both sides realized they were playing the game the good ole boys set up so that they couldn’t unite and their faves would he used for what they were good for and still get snubbed.

Hive has been incredibly vile towards every other female artist for years.

I feel like in their mind there can only be one black pop female singer.

So the rivalry was pretty one sided anyway.

Beyoncé is my #1 but Rihanna is not far behind. I've been supporting her very successful and iconic ventures like Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin  

Savage x Fenty is tacky but so is most of Ivy Park 

ANTI and Lemonade are two of the Top 5 albums of 2010s decade, yeah. 

 

Beyoncé is the far better performer obviously but Rihanna has her moments! I go back to her VMAs medley of "Diamonds/Stay/Love on the Brain" and her Made in America performance of "Better Have My Money" a lot, let me highlight those.

It's been over but Rihanna's net worth becoming 1.7 billion completely cemented us as allies, not enemies.

There's going to be mutual respect because at the end of the day they are both the IT girls of multiple generations.

And still today they are both at the very forefront of culture.

A rivalry thats corny and should’ve never happened.

It's been over since that Grammy's and nothing but friendship in between but expect the disaster to be started by other bases

its currently a 3 way feud between the hive, navy, and barbz on twitter but for me personally I've always loved Rih

she's still second to Bey but I will defend her when the occasion warrants 

It's been over here for years. I can't speak for other places like Twitter, but the hive and the navy on here have been coexisting for a while now without major incidents with the exception of a few here and there. It helps that a lot of the stans on either side actually like and listen to both artists.

i haven't really seen the two fight since like 2016

Both fan bases are in their late 20s and early 30s. We are too busy living our live, too mature to be caught up in stan wars. 
 

These MOTHERS best slay the SBHT stage.

All the Hive vs Navy Ive seen on Twitter today (per example comparing the likes of Renaissance announcement with Rih announcement) has been started by other fanbases. Most Hive and Navy have learned that we need to support our black icons and not play into the white girls stans game. The same thing is definitely going to happen on atrl. It will be some Gaga or Britney stan that will try to set us up.
