AS is such a weird one because corners of it (e.g. chorus) are radio GOLD, but the verses are too left for mainstream radio. 

 

I think its time as a single probably should have been when it first went viral. Trying to drum up buzz around it again will be hard. 

 

Heated is known but hasn't had its "moment" in the sun yet, so in ways can still be fresh to the GP. Urban and Rhythmic would spam it to the point of being a hit. I'd say the same with Church Girl (believe it or not). The push for the next thing (if there is one) ought to be more automated and slaying in the BG. The next Pop push should come with Act 2.

Alien Superstar’s time already passed and it can’t get a revival as a single unless she drops a visual for it… which is never happening 

 

Heated is the only option, I fear.

Alien would have easily gone top 10 all over the world had it been released.  It isn't delusional to think it would have been a hit.  A good majority of the world doesn't give af about radio, or what they play.

AS is not a good single choice…those weird spoken word verses kill it far more than the worries over the Heated outro (which can be removed with a radio edit).

Not everyone lives on tiktok  And even then, it didn’t go super viral. 

 

It’s still the only right choice for the third single.

Pre Cuff It going viral, those early days had BMS slaying and AS was right behind it. On Spotify, Apple Music. Then TikTok. That suggests a degree of GP popularity, as that wasn't just The Hive. 

 

The danger with GP-fuelled hits is that when they're dropped it's hard to reheat. 

 

Heated hasn't had that GP exposure yet and is already one of the most popular and returned to album tracks. 

 

Urban + Rhythmic would collectively do for it what I doubt Pop would do for Alien.

Its really not that weird, but a bit of weird is good. It's important for an artist to be known for risky and forward thinking music too. I always reference Frozen by Madonna which many would claim is too spare and slow but it became iconic... We've had 2 radio friendly tracks, it wouldn't be bad to make a mark with Alien.

Honestly the intro to Alien is so signature and is clearly building up to a big chorus. Its not abrasive or jarring. I don't think it'll be a problem. It reminds me a bit of Bowie

Anyway Both Alien and Heated should happen. Heated has also had the most stability. It' used to be behind Virgo's groove and is now catching up to Church Girl (which was promoted on NMF)

I think Heated could also be a single, sounds like a summer smash

AS/Church Girl next, leave Heated for the spring/summer. And then we can move on to Act 2. In ideal world, she'd end the era with Summer Renaissance but I don't think we're getting that many singles from this act.

 

Let AS smash on Pop and Church Girl smash on Urban. Thank you.

This is where I am. Love AS, but the spoken word verses not for the GP.

 

Heated outro, leave that in. Everyone will love it. I can see making and edit to cut it down a few bars.

Heated is the last logical choice for a single in my eyes, and I think it can be sent to most if not all formats in terms of radio. 
 

but I’m also ready for my country album at this point. To hell with more singles or even the visuals; Giselle can keep them.

I really have to agree with this logic. It's such a catchy tune and a bit avant garde, but not too much. It would be a great choice. It's a riskier choice than Heated but the potential is also much greater. Also, Heated will probably not do anything outside the US, sadly. With that in mind, AS is also a better choice in terms of building on the international success of Cuff it

Summer Ren is ethereal but that wouldn't work as a single. Keep it a sleeper track fave that sneaks up to 100M in the next year. 

Alien missed its time and wouldn't evolve on radio like Heated would. If she wants to stretch it to a 4th, then maybe something like Cozy since that's catchy.
