Your Body vs Perfume

Featured Replies

These songs are the last solo songs charted by Xtina and Britney on the H100.

Which song’s better according to you? 2012’s Your Body or 2013’s Perfume?

Your Body is the better song. It should have been a bigger too.

Your Body is xtina best song while Perfume is literally the worst song of Britney’s disco:deadbanana2:graphy

Your Body is literally pop perfection, and I’m a Britney stan. Perfume is absolute trash, it deserved to flop the way it did.

However, if we compare both last solo lead singles Work ***** and Your Body I think we know who’d win :eli:

I love both songs and I don't understand the hate "Perfume" gets.

Work B doesn’t even have any Britney vocals on it though, so Perfume was technically the lead.

Perfume is so mediocre, it feels like it wants to be profound but those lyrics ain’t it

Your Body on the other hand is carefree, trash magic, pop perfection :clap3:

Your Body is fun to yell along to while Perfume… is probably Sia’s worst song she’s written.

Your body but Perfume had a chokehold on me lol

Both songs literally take me back to 2012/2013 :chick2:

Never heard either song. So let me do a fun reaction to both right now!

Perfume by Britney Spears: Surprised by the balladry and Avril esque vocals! The song itself sounds like a classic and the narrative it tells is so unique. Also kind of a marketing shameless plug for Britney's iconic fragrances? My only issue with this song is it lacks melody and the lyrics are a bit awkward.

Your Body by Xtina: Sounds generic but definitely a bop and visual (I'm watching the music video, I see iconic gifs in here lol). The chorus is nicest part, but the verses are kind of cringe. It reminds of the early 2010s radio songs which I like, but this one feels like a grower. Cute ending to the music video.

Both are so different, and I like them equally as much lol.

Your Body, in terms of MV and the song itself, it is better than Perfume.

OK I made up my mind.

Music video wise Your Body wins by far lol.

Song quality wise it's a tie.

Enjoyability / sonically pleasing factor goes to Your Body.

Your Body was so good and deserved better. I can't believe she never performed it live on TV… What a mess. I'm sure it could have been a cute hit for her

Even Britney fans can agree that Perfume is trash.

Agreed with the first part.

I still don’t know how work ***** smashed. That is her worst lead single. Its just unlistenable noise. I remembered being so disappointed after how great femme fatale was to work ***** and Britney Jean as an album.

Both great songs, I think I prefer Perfume though.

Let There Be Love, however, is >>

You Body, I appreciate that Britney sang in Perfume but that song is so plain and boring and those lyrics are easily Sia's worst work ever.
