Which stanbase started the only solo hit songs count thing?

Featured Replies

Only solo #1 and tops 10s count

Only hits co-written by the singer count

Only songs where the artists sings more than 20 seconds counts

Only songs where the song spent at least 10 weeks in the top 10 count

Who started that?

Now why would they shoot themselves in the foot like that knowing that 60% of Gaga's #1's are collabs. :gaycat6:

I don't remember who started but I remember Rihanna used to be dragged a lot because many of her hits were collaborations

Also Xtina used to be dragged for Moves Like Jagger, Feel this moment and Say Something.

Ariana also used to be dragged because her first hits were collaborations during her first 2 albums

Basically everyone since those are easy drags.

Xtina has a #1 with MLJ? She barely sings in there

Britney has a #1? She didn't write it

Rihanns has a #1? It's a collab and she didn't write it

Bey has a #1? It's not even her song

Gaga has a #1? It's not solo

:giraffe:

The britney fans because Gaga, Beyonce and Xtina (and many others that are not Britney) have scored #1 hits that weren't "solo" so this was their way of denial/distraction from that success.

OGH’s particularly certain individuals here who keep TABS and stats on her frankly more than us. quite sad when you think about it, hypocritically blaming liddos for starting everything

It began when Liddos started to discredit Katy, Rihanna, Beyoncé and even Britney for their singles success while perpetuating the idea that Gaga is superior to them since she 'needed nobody for hits'.

They would attribute the success of you "California Girls" solely to Snoop, "Last Friday Night" to Missy, "Dark Horse" to Juicy J, "We Found Love" to Calvin, "Stay" to Mikky Ekko, "Work" to Drake, "Drunk In Love" to Jay, "Scream & Shout" to Will.i.am, etc.

Fast forward it backfired massively and as result, they resort to gaslighting ATRL - just look above.

I'm sure a December 2019 user would know all about that :clap3:

Only users I see make a big deal of solo hits are those that dislike Gaga and/or Monsters.

a hit is a hit

It was the LMs, OP :fan:

Hope u dont get mad again :eli:

I think there are different types of collabs. For instance Dirty by Xtina has a feature, but everyone knows that's her song. Even in Say Something she's co-lead, but it's kinda of silly for Fighters to try to claim Xtina is the reason for MLJ success when she had two lines in it.

How much a integral part of the song the artist actually is

Gaga's hits are her own tho, she wrote them and they're part of her projects, it's not like Minaj or Aguilera who get a #1 single through 30 second features and yet their own singles / albums tank.

I know people said it a lot about Ari back during her ME days so it's been a thing for a while even if it's always been redundant :thing:

Atp I can't tell if it's a psychological break with reality or just desperate gaslighting to control their wrong narrative :thing:

I didn't start seeing the drags until Rihanna's Rated R era. Multiple fandoms dragged her for not having a solo Grammy.

Gaga haters when she got Shallow and later Rain On Me.

So i guess Katycats, Beyhive...

It was the LMs who mainly discredited women like Bey and Rih for their hits being all collaborations. Flash forward to now all of Gaga's recents "hits" are carried by younger streaming era artists, and people like Bey have a multiple current hits that are SOLO!
