Who is Pitchfork shading here?

As our biggest pop stars increasingly turn to dance music for inspiration, Beyoncé focused her famous work ethic on the nuances of club culture for a challenging, densely-referenced album that runs circles around her similarly minded, Billboard-charting peers.

They're just stating B is a step above everyone else out there currently.

It's not shade, it's the truth.

and it's been that way for 9 years now

Let’s be real, P4K stans Beyoncé (for good reasons) but with severe delusion.  All you need to do is read their hilarious review of BMS for proof.  It’s a great album and deserves praise tho.

its obvi drake

i dont know why drake couldnt team up with some ghost writers tbh cuz the album had potential. hell he didnt even need to sing. he could have just rapped over the house beats.

prob should have kept heated for himself to but oh well

“Increasingly turning to dance music.” Even in her yee-haw and Adult Contemporary moments, when has Gaga NOT been associated with dance music or turned away from it entirely? :rip:

Obviously Drake. Everyone's going to be comparing this against Honestly Nevermind until the end of the year when HM will be forgotten and Ren will not.

Probably a white female artists as they usually hate them.

Right, that's what I'm saying that. Tell that to the 50% in this thread.

this is pretty obviously about Drake, they literally said his last album had "half-measure house beats" and "lackluster songwriting" and called him "unintentionally funny" :rip:
