I've been seeing SO much Abracadabra videos on my TikTok and I don't even usually get much pop girl content on there (I avoid them), and most of them have 100K+ likes. I've even seen some with 1M+.. It feels like it's really taking off.

Yeah, no.. I've been iffy about her for a bit now and this just sealed the deal for me. I've been following her since before Visions even came out and I just.. can't believe what she's turned into. I gave her so much benefit of the doubt. Claire.. who the hell are you even anymore? If people want to 'separate the art from the artist' then I guess it's their choice, but it's not for me. Right but let's be clear though, most of these people and their likes are likely not even from "Billie stans", but rather various members of the GP that otherwise do not regularly interact with stan content. I think it's an important distinction to make since the discussions around that are already questionable enough as it is on this site with people crediting random tweets with 40 likes to an artist and their entire fanbase. The generic GP sample are people who listen only to the pop radio and whatever sounds are popular on Tiktok. Cowboy Carter do not fit into either mold, so obviously most of them are unlikely to know what it is unless they a) listen to Country or b) already follow Beyonce to begin with. Birds of the Feather on the other hand was the biggest song of 2024 on streaming both in the US and I'm pretty sure globally, and it ruled Tiktok - so of course naturally people are going to gravitate towards Billie getting the win. You have to understand the average person sees this process through a simple lens and nothing else.

Probably Top 40 if she's lucky. It's a great song, but unfortunately these type of songs just don't do well anymore. It feels like the song is both too late and too early for the current musical climate. I'd really love to be wrong though, cause I'd love for this kind of music to be big again.

Not surprised about Taylor going home empty-handed, it was expected - and honestly, this is the way that it should be. Her entries were weak this year and the categories were full with very, very strong nominees. And my god, I'm actually SO glad TTPD didn't win AOTY. My heart breaks for Billie however, wasn't expecting her to win everything but I was expecting her to win something. Her walking away with absolutely nothing is gut-wrenching.

Not my favorite album of hers or even out of the nominees, I'm quite gutted HMHAS didn't win - but this was a category win that is so long overdue for her that it's hard to say anything negative about it, both Self-Titled and Lemonade should've won in their respective years. Take it as their revenge. It was simply about time.

Every time Asia gets brought up in the discussion of Taylor's success the narrative goes to either "Asians are white actually" or "It's the white-worshipping Asians again". Being condescending and patronizing to an entire race just because a musical artist you don't like is popular in their region, and there are actually people supporting these sentiments. Insane.

The way this will have zero impact because his base has no morals and will justify it and/or try to shift the blame to Biden and post that fake list of celebrities going to the Epstein Island for the billionth time.
