Chromatica, but Witness is her best album idc.

I rather Chromatica for all but Witness has alal great singles and some nice album tracks

Witness is a stunning album that people just hate because it flopped. Chromatica is cute.

There is a reason why Witness has lower daily streams than a country album Joanne or an experimental electronic pop music album ARTPOP

Chromatica's flaw is that the production is too watered down....there were some great moments for sure with songs like Alice, Replay and 911, but songs like Free Woman for example are so "on trend", which is odd because that was never really her style in the past.  The production isn't bad, just basic at it's worst.  That said, the songwriting was really solid and personal, and her vocals sound great across the board.  It's a decent album, you can just tell that Gaga was in a bad place and not exactly as involved in the production side of things as she usually is. She said she loved how collaborative it was and it made her feel uplifted to have so many people want to step in and help make the songs the best they could be, but I kinda hope she sees that it loses a bit of edge that way.

 

Witness has some pros, but a lot of cons.  The production is actually really solid throughout most of the album, I especially loved it on songs like Power, Pendulum and the title track.....I appreciate that they did some interesting things there.  The songwriting is definitely lacking though....there quite a few lyrical moments that are straight up bad, which really bring it down.  And it doesn't really have highs that are high enough to make up for it.

let's say Chromatica is more cohesive and better body of work BUT i prefer Witness because it has higher highs like Tsunami and Power

I'm tempted to say Titness Witness simply because no one besides Katy would come across with lyrics as gleefully bizarre as "Marilyn Monroe in a monster truck", "You are cute as old coupon expired", "Am I car on fire?", "Your words like a Chinese water torture" and "You broke me wide open, open sesame"
