This. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice song however there are way better tracks on Lover.

Her best pop song since 1989, I don't care how "overrated" it may be within the fandom. I'm not even a Swiftie and that song would have been an actual huge hit for Lover if handled right and released instead of "ME!" and/or "YNTCD".

That cover was bad. Completely strips the song of its feeling

Cruel summer sounded nice in 2019. Not anymore.

She saw it outperform the TVs, folkmore, and her stolen masters, she’s capitalizing.

Cruel Summer is one of my fave Taylor songs, but it's also really one that she should've given to another artist/vocalist to reach its full potential.
