• Her Spotify playlisting is terrible compared to her peers.

I am so sick & tired of ATRL weaponizing streams in order to justify their ignorant revisionism  Only because they weren't alive at the time to experience legends at their peak.

Some of y’all don’t want to hear it but her music simply just did not hold up well and particularly not up against her counter parts. 

They were shipped back

she was blacklisted by huge corporations and some of the most powerful people in media and entertainment around the time that the digital age of music started to take shape. hence why she was never really able to fully transition into the digital era properly

She has a lot of accomplishments but she has 0 classics and as an American Gen Z kid myself I can confirm that pretty much none of us know a single song from her nor check for her at all. If it wasn’t for the stan world I couldn’t tell you a single song of hers, and I’m an American who grew up loving r&b
