Yes. I was a 1D stan, and I can appreciate the growth in his artistry since his career beginnings. He has a vision and invests time and effort into it, which is more than what can be said about other male pop stars. I wouldn’t call myself a stan (haven’t listened to the new album yet tbh, I’m waiting to be in the mood for it), but I enjoy his first two albums, especially his debut. Only miserable, jealous gays on this site don’t like him. They pretend it’s because they listen to Bowie in between Doja Cat and Lady Gaga on their playlists and “aPpReCiAtE rEaL mUsIc,” but really they’re just parroting what other people say to justify their own jealousy. #StopProjecting #TreatPeopleWithKindness

Im sick of hearing about him. I dont like his image and I think hes fake. If Atrl had a keyword filter option the word styles would definitely be on it.

I guess I kinda get it though I'm not part of it. It's mostly made up of the girls/women who loved 1D as kids. I feel like ATRLers generally just don't fall into his target demographic

His clothes sometimes are nice I guess but it's been 10+ years of him in the public eye and I have never been on his hype train. I get why he has hype though. It's honestly not hard for "attractive" white guys to achieve any kind of hype in the entertainment business. Throw in the boy band marketing to solo "edgy" pop star and there was no way he was going anywhere.

Nope, I feel like is for people who grew up listening to One Direction.

this ciswhiteman colonizer has had a fanbase for like 10 years so

I do. He looks good to most people, was the most popular one from 1D and does his queerbait so the hysterical girls can go crazy.

His music is bland and his persona is boring but he knows what works for him and go for it. Props to him

Tbf he's better than other pop boys out there, since he is less boring and actually spices it up.

What artistry? There is none :rip:

he’s a tribute act that’s exploiting the queer gimmick

He is Mediocre and boring tbh so no.

Everything about him screams publicity stunt too

Yes, he has a wide demographic. A huge fanbase and GP support will give you that.

If his industry support was only in music I might be willing to accept it

But look at his film career too, out of nowhere, for no reason. Based on what?

Clearly there are important people in the business who are pulling strings for him to succeed

I used to find him attractive. His face is still so cute but he has ruined his body with those tattoos.

And no suprise he is succesful. As It Was is really a nice song.

No. I haven’t listened to the album but I already know it’s terrible.

Yes, his popularity is mostly because of the music industry's desperation to introduce another male pop superstar, they haven't been able to do that since the likes of justin bieber, bruno mars & ed sheeran who are still doing well (also shawn mendes for a period of 3 years), they have produced olivia rodrigo & billie eilish from the females in recent years but no male pop stars, so you'll see a lot from media acting like he's the new king of pop & his music is generational.

The first two albums were genuinely quite good, but the new one is all style no substance just coasting on his star power. He’s veering into overrated territory, but there’s always a chance he’ll course correct in the future. :michael:

He’s basic as hell and a terrible songwriter which has been made clear with his latest album, the only thing “interesting” about him is his queerbaiting and ripping off far actually interesting legends.
