folkore is the BIG sister for a reason  evermore is amazing too but folklore is just way more consistent and has higher highs. the power of cowboy like me alone is almost strong enough for them to be tied, but not quite.

Okay so when you rank them like this, folklore wins by 1 point, but I do like evermore more   The highs are higher.

Betty is very well-written, but personally, I picked Closure because I forgot I liked Betty at all. Not even joking, actually forgot. Like I like it more, but it leans so hard into the whole country vibe that I initially found it a little grating and it's still my least-played Folklore track because of how little I used to play it. While I've grown to love it now, my brain still sees the title and thinks "oh, ew, Betty."

 

Same thing kind of happened with I Bet You Think About Me, which sounds very similar, when Red TV came out.
