This is based off of monthly listeners, not streams. :rip: It's inaccurate.

Lisa's Money has 535m streams and she's #19 on that list. You're telling me EXO got more than that in 2021? :skull:

Not it's actually just streams its released by spotify themselves

Most of money streams are from this year

This is from one retailer

and they're currently the most pre-ordered album on that sites HISTORY

650k was the record to break held by NCT DREAM and they broke it

they were also already confirmed to have past 1 million in only 6 days....

it was last reported by YG that they surpassed 2 million and that was weeks ago

they gotta be at 2.5-2.8 million right now, I think

Oh okay, I misunderstood. My bad. Either way, the point I was replying to had nothing to do with EXO's back catalogue which is obviously strong because they were big for 5 years (hence: fad).

Ultimately, the narrative that the 5-song 'Don't Fight the Feeling' EP was the massive smash that @Hitchhiker tried to push in his post is false. According to the Spotify article you mentioned, Love Shot (2018) has gained 50m streams since early October 31st 2021, while Don't Fight (2021) has only gained 19m. Their current success is all their previous legacy; when they used to be relevant.

SM is one of those companies that get investigated every year and make it seems it's usual for a big corporation to get investigated that frequently. I mean when the!ceo is know by the international authorithies for embezzlment, bribe and fraud. Plus he was exposed for having companies (under his name) where SM put money in it, but those companies never did nothing.

interesting :celestial5:

not surprised though

:giraffe: I come back to exo slander in 2022....can't believe my eyes.

Leave my legendary inactive hags alone and go back to streaming the flop NoiseCT songs that you love so much but Korea never does. Thank you. :hippo:

OT...

I hope the nugu BP teasers mean that all the budget went to the title track mv and the album production :biblionny:

The BP teasers look like they’re gonna go for a more rockish sound or at least some rock elements…and I hope it’s true. If it’s gonna be another ratatata mess then I’m truly sorry for the blinks.

Not queen Sera being a reaction youtuber now… she deserved to be an it girl  :'(

They're two beautiful sisters, along with Celebrate, that don't need to be pitted against each other.

what the heck happened at SM in the second half of this year??

Key’s album is another heaping pile of trash. I know this thread is full of Shawols but you can’t really think this album was good? not a single standout track

Yeah, that's why Red Velvet's career album sales are 2m

The FACTS are that Red Velvet has 3M album sales on Circle, and they have already sold 1M albums on Circle in 2022 alone.

In comparison, their predecessor f(x), sold approximately 700k in 7 years, so I think RV is fine.

Well I never said Red Velvet weren't doing well, they get digital hits regularly now and their album sales are growing. I even defended them against declining fads EXO and anyone with a brain can see their sales are impressive for a 3rd gen girl group in their 8th year. But to imply that Red Velvet are "much bigger" than NCT like that user did when the latter sells 10x the amount of albums is ridiculous.

I'm not really following whatever squabble is going on in here to be honest.

But I have also seen you try to pit EXO against NCT. When last time I checked, EXO blew up within a year or so of debut. Whereas NCT took 4 years to finally start selling/get popular, but it cost SM truck loads of money and their blue chip financial status, to make it happen  :cm:
