Yeah I'm talking about next year, is she gonna only do omitb? There was an insider that has been hinting that Selena has an acting project to be announced since last year and nothing. The last thing she said was to expect news in October. But I don't think she was a good insider, I'm not saying she was lying but all her info came from the grapevine so they could have been way off and tbh all her info were incorrect. That's why I'm asking if there is a legitimate insider here that can tell us anything.

Selena is one of the biggests celebs in the world and Benny is a real big name in the music industry, their invitation list is full of A-Lists, multiple famous people already talked about this wedding on red carpets and interviews. It's not easy to escape tabloids when you're in this situation.

No best music video, so pop solo, no soty, no songwriter of the year, no best r&b recording for cowboy, bluest flame should have been submitted in best electric/dance recording too but they didn't. The remix could have been submitted to best remix. 
 

What are they even doing? We all thought Benny will take care of the submissions but he is useless as always.

I feel like the deluxe of ISILYF weighed the album down for me. I don't want to listen to the Bluest Flame remix and the 2 acoustics. So recently i've been skipping them going from Stained to the Cowboy (Remix) and it's close to my AOTY. I have to remember that I've been living with this album for 8 months. I would LOVE the album that had Single Soon and Love On on it, but I would understand why it would be shelved. Honestly I am so f***ing happy right now. It is so rewarding as a fan at the moment cuz these droplets are absolutely incredible. I hope she keeps the momentum going for next year but either way, we got Rare, and that's what's important. Rare exists, it happened. 

I kinda lost hope about Selena future in movies. Reasons:

1- She is not a box office draw

2-She doesn't make much of an effort; often the role has to adapt to her rather than the other way around. This has been the case since Monte Carlo, when she was supposed to learn to ride a horse. The Emilia Perez role also was adapted to her.

3-She has trouble getting funding for her movies (probably because of the two reasons above). 

4-Her speaking voice became kinda unpleasant, and it affect acting a lot more than music

5-Since her health deteriorated, she has prioritized her personal life over her career (I don't think she's wrong).

 

Anyway I think she'll be fine on TV

I agree with you and that hurts because I'm a big selactress fan. Much more than musiclena. Nothing compares to the rush I felt in 2024 with all of these appearances and awards and red carpets. It was the best time ever to be a stan and I thought many roles would come following Emilia Perez but sadly she booked absolutely nothing till now.

She said in an interview for MM&M that she had recorded 24 songs and had 12 she liked/loved. That album not coming gave Calm Down time to shine, 2024 was bleak. Love On coming out and doing nothing and then her releasing Mi Camino with the lyrics "para decir si para decir no" made it seem like she was angry at her fans and was never going to release music again. I was like ef it, SG3 is not coming and won't be the answer to my mental health, so I went to a detox center and treatment. And I thought, maybe me going to get help will do something and an album will come out. Well it did and I was right. That album being announced and coming out so quickly was a huge blessing. Then In The Dark, as a cute lil droplet was a good time as a fan. Not her best, but a good song.

She just got acknowledged by the Grammys when we all know Revival, and the 2017 droplets deserved Grammy noms but oh well, her new music is getting nominated.

So I think, her legacy musically is still able to expand and flourish. 
I'm still perched for more music and I hope they have a good plan because we have had some rough years as a fanbase

2024 was the best freaking year to be selenator we had red carpets, everyday appearances, looks, interviews, award shows, winning awards and an acclaimed movie. Nothing will ever compare to 2024

I mean, I can't necessarily disagree with you, but 2024 as the kind of fan I am was all about using my imagination to fill in the gaps that we should have gotten several albums that we did not get by that time. So my imagination was working overtime anticipating projects that weren't real. By January 2025 I had come to the conclusion that she was not going to release an album, but I kept faith. Mind you I didn't have my phone, so on Valentine's Day I went on YouTube because I thought wouldn't it be cool if Selena dropped a song, and near the bottom of the YouTube playlist, there it was, a new song. I then got on the computer and saw the album announcement. Valentine's Day 2025 was the best day to be a Selenator, and then the album coming out the day before my birthday was also really special. But it was also cool being in Europe in 2024 and knowing that EP was smashing and waiting to watch it.

My 2020 rate was such a success. I bop to all of her albums throughout my week. I know it's only been 8 and a half months, but I'm very curious as to what we'll be getting in the future.

The fans are being dramatic thinking Selena put more fillers but imo she's just back on medication and her face is swollen. Of course the fillers she has made it worse, along with the hair loss which happens to her too from time to time, but everyone should be used to it for now. She said she was in remission earlier in the year, but since that interview to complex with Karol G she already had skin rashes. Her remissions don't last, I guess because of her lifestyle, always had horrible diet, smokes, drinks and still the stress of the wedding preparations...

I hope she takes care of her health, now that she no longer with her grandparents. I think they stabilized her since they went to live with her in the last five years, but now she's a married adult lady and needs get her life/act together.
