Some stuff were moving at the beginning of the year, she recorded really cool stuff. However, I don't see those tracks coming out any time soon

She ain't touring any time soon. She's aware she is not the streaming force and the popstar she used to be, Love On was a wake-up call for her because for a while she thought she was still the hit-maker she was in 2016-2020 . She has to perform and renew her fanbase if she wants a hit, I know she will say in public that she doesn't care but she does. She believed a lot in Single Soon and she got really frustrated that it wasn't well-received and that Love On was her biggest flop.

Sel needs to do festivals, she has the voice for good DJ tracks, she recorded some electronic stuff recently and she needs to take advantage of the new House-Techno wave and get a hit. Her own management rejected 'That's Alright' because they thought it was 'too far' of Selena's audience as they thought her public wouldn't connect with a festival song

the way i've literally only been streaming rare for the past few weeks it has aged soo well and means so much to me even if some of yall don't like it. either way i don't think she'll top it imo so lemme just pray for some outtakes. the original SG3 just sounds corny and too commercial so i hope she pivoted from that

ISILYF did pretty well considering how it had his name attached to it and just sounded rough, i don't know why she is so scared to release

like an album will not perform similarly to love on or in the dark, she needs to stop basing gp interest based on her single performances as much, literally nobody can get a hit nowadays

LYLALS was recently certified 7x Platinum in the US. It went 6x in July 2024 and 5x Platinum in 2023. If the song keeps getting certifications at this pace, it will reach Diamond at the beginning of the next decade. It has recently increased in daily streams on Spotify though, and it seems to be that sort of song that always is used in social media and therefore will keep afloat (and it is a 2010s classic) so I hope it can somehow get there by 2029. It would be cool.

WDTA and Calm Down are probably pretty close too.

The thing is she has never have a good music team, she got lucky Interscope pushed her in her first eras but Aleen has never been good when it comes to music, you can see how different Olivia's era has been handled with and without Aleen. She just has never managed a musician before.

She needs a team that knows how to hype things up, how the promote, that trust her and a label that support that. ISILYF had so much potential but it wasn't linked with good promo and I don't mean Selena actually promoting herself but good marketing stragety. In fact, Benny carried the first two weeks.

The singles choice were also horrible and she didn't even lift a finger, what was that CMWYBU video? Y&H mv also lowkey sucks, she released a good video "Sunset Blvd" and it did good and it pushed the song a lot (despite having almost ZERO playlisting).

A lot of songs showed potential to do good the first week but it lacked initiative. And with each release she keeps getting less streams cause everything seems uninspired.

I think she is not motivated bc of numbers but she also has a lot to blame for that. She only posted one story for Te Olvido and vanished and if your team does nothing and your label decides not to push a song it's over. and Mind u, Te Olvido deserved at least Viva Latino.
