Sabrina Carpenter flopped for years on a major label and then signed to another major label and is having the biggest moment of her career.

You can't compare it to Sabrina. Sabrina was signed to Disney label then signed to major label in 2021 when she was only 21. 'Emails I Can't Send' with "Nonsense" were released in 2022.

New interview where she talks about new music in 2026. She said it's go go go next year. I haven't seen her this excited talking about music in a really long time.

she has literally said this every year since she went solo. i'll believe it when (if) i see it gaycat7

No label means no excuses for not releasing material. She'll never be a promo Queen but we can at least get music more frequently.

Normani Updates admin. Lydia communicates with them. Choosing to believe it one last time lol.

Also from another admin so I'm guessing she's signing to another label.

A disney label that is still a major label.. When has Hollywood records not been a major label? And it's not 2000 anymore. Labels aren't only signing 18 and 19 year olds. I'm just pointing out there's no validity in saying no other label would want to sign her. Literally basing it off of nothing.... Anyways she seems super positive about new music coming and I am excited for it.

We are just going to have to wait and see at this point because she cannot be trusted.

Well let's see, when's the last time they had any of their artists go Top 40 on the Hot 100?

The glow, the confidence in the answer. Takes me back to January 2024 when she knew she actually had something on the way for real. I believe her

I don't know if I believe Normani is actually coming back after the countless lies… dies

I will say that it is very good news that she left RCA regardless. What an utter incompetent label, they could never do anything right. BUT, if Normani is signing with some other label, I hope that she also knows she gotta work for it because she lost a lot of goodwill sadly.

i saw this on X that she now follows Interscope.

It's not a recent follow apparently. I'm interested to see who she does sign with though

This is part of the problem..what's happened with normani career has NOTHING to do with a label. I've seen a new artist with NO label be able to show their talent and who they are as an artist. Even when Tinashe was having issues with the label that girl took it upon herself to promote and push her music.

People were saying the exact same thing about Brandon. Celebrating that she's free etc and look what happened.

I'm not sure why you continue to respond to me but I'll bite. It's laughable to claim that what happened to her career has nothing to do with RCA. She left them so I'm wondering where she will sign to now. Go concern troll somewhere else.

normani was cheesing hard talking about new music lol. she wasnt ever like this when it came to dopamine.

If you can't acknowledge that fundamentally the issue is the artist ……and you put all the blame on a label… a manager or "sabotage"…you're gonna get the same results. Until she herself takes her own career by the horns there's always gonna be disappointment.

My advice stop striving for perfection…let people get to know YOU. For example when was the last time she posted a regular picture of herself on instagram…not polished…or a photo shoot. Just a regular picture. People want authenticity in today's market.

All I said was I wonder what label she's signing to and you're writing think pieces in response. There is no correlation between your comment and what I said. Every time there's anything positive going on, you pop up like the grinch when you're not even a fan. It's extremely jobless of you Camila stans to still be doing this when it's about to be 2026. Stop quoting me.

This is probably the strongest sign she's releasing. Kordeilogy is in constant contact with her team. Those NormaniNation people have all the tea.

She's on a new label and the announcement will come with an era back to back (which is what you would expect to happen). If she does good out the gate, it's going to make her life A LOT easier and we'll get album 2 + tour and everything coming consistently cause the label would actually be pushing her.

It's obvious now, RCA lost interest in Normani once Doja Cat blew up. Victoria Monet and Tate McRae were the official "we're done with Normani" artists for them. It's nasty but this happens at many labels especially when you take breaks from your music and go against their time table (which Normani did first to rework her album after Motivation then again 2020-2021 for family reasons).

thats what im thinking! she's already been signed and etc so the label announcement is imminent. for me its where she's signed to which will make or break it for me. i think any label would sign her as normani is an obvious star that was mishandled by RCA so any label can scoop her up and do right by her genuinely. i dont think she's chopped liver quite yet.

she said in her billboard interview after the holiday's its go time. personally, atlantic, republic or interscope would be solid to me. if a label truly invests i think normani can take it home.

wait so does this mean the dopamine visuals will never come out??? also, i'm shocked that the fair video hasn't leaked, i would have liked to see what brian friedman did with the choreo.

Like clockwork bringing up other artists in a forum about normani.

Anyway I wonder if she's gonna make her own label

Okay so this is basically a fun game for us until 2026 with guessing labels.

The best label for Normani is any label that is NOT CURRENTLY PUSHING an artist that is similar to Normani in any convo we've seen on social media.

So if that label has a Coco Jones, Kehlani, Victoria, Tate, Doja, Tyla, Chloe Bailey etc. type then that would not be ideal (also I wouldn't count any girl groups in this or kpop acts). Basically, Normani needs to be the only one on her new label that does lots of choreo, slightly Beyonce/Janet/Britney inspired performances, etc. That type of artistry lane.

Off the top of my head, Interscope, Capitol, and Republic could be those spots for her. Also, all 3 are away from the Sony umbrella that Normani has been trapped to since Fifth Harmony days (Epic then RCA). The 3 I listed above are under UMG.

Atlantic could be another spot IF they intend on really pushing her as a crossover artist and not just signing yet another r&b act. There was talk back in 2021 that Atlantic liked how Wild Side performed with "urban music" audiences (which is their main focus) but since Cardi was only featured, they didn't get any money from it.

I was thinking about Island. They've managed to launch Chappell and Sabrina the past few years. Not really similar to her but proved capable of launching someone that isn't exactly brand new to the industry.

The co-chairman/CEO of the label follows Normani and Lydia. Not a recent follow though but I think it's a good option.

they don't have a good record of promoting/supporting their artists properly until they randomly have a breakout hit soo yeah but the good thing is they let their artists release whenever/whatever they want! i'll take it as a win
