Normani staying linked with NFL is good. Maybe she gets a thanksgiving halftime show eventually then superbowl one day.

This is a smart branding partner for a musician given that superbowl platform literally has revamped or saved careers. She's nowhere close to that but this is just a good thing to have.

Normani is slowly building what looks like a rollout here. If she left her record label she should do a big interview with Call Her Daddy about it to start 2026 (if her next single is pop leaning this is the right audience to tap into).

And what's she gonna perform covers of diamond again lmao

  • They're aren't going to let this be all you get a listen to lol. This team is very aware. Let them just warm it up.

  • I love how after years of disappointments and lies some fans still get angry at someone questioning this girl's career choices   and please stop pushing this "you want her to do generic pop

I'm sorry but I can't stand that flip flop flipping ass bxtch Zach.   Any who. The hype was dead they said. Nobody cared they said. The engagement will never be like it was with Motivation t

TBH. I've sort of given up hope for her releasing. (Which is funny because we've been getting some signs that she may.)

I think what's so hard about being a supporter of her is that she's so unavailable and when you do see her it's always at a party. We never see her in a vulnerable state or moment.

Everything sometimes feels so rehearsed and contrived. (No offense). It's not like a bad thing to want to keep your private life to yourself but damn can we get a live or fun video. I mean dancing challenges are cool and all but they begin to become repetitive.

Like can we get a food review or maybe even a collab with another artist? Like something.

I'm hoping if (when) this new music comes she can let her hair done and just be chill and not so proper. I feel like when she was in 5h she was way more spontaneous. I mean she was hella young but at least it felt like she was a person not just an artist.

Also, do we know when (or ever) this new pop music is coming? Like I'm intrigued with the choreographer mentioning pop in particular. Will it be a more poppy record from the album or a new single entirely?

So does Normani appear on RCA's roster for yall or not? I've seen a screenshot where she's listed. She doesn't appear when I go on the site

She is not on the website when I visit either which means she is no longer on the label. To me, it's been obvious for a while that's what she was working towards. Now let's hope she actually releases in 2026 like she has been saying.

Actually kind of mad about this whole situation, even as a casual fan.. redface It's not looking good for us. I predict marriage, kids, influencer/actresses career path with music as just a phase. So mad

This is good news. Her leaving that label is the best case scenario. Things were obviously not great behind the scenes. Hoping 2026 is better for her musically.

I hope she doesn't drop that lead single and expect it to debut on top 100 or do well. She honestly has to work for it after being gone for basically almost 2 years after her debut with no video, no radio or promo.

I think it's pretty clear that she's not driven by numbers. She wouldn't be in this position if she was.

Excited for her next (music-related) moves, whatever they may be

this'll either lead to her releasing more music (and quickly at that) or a Sky Ferreira situation. we know which is more likely unfortunately! lol

Lucky Daye who was also signed to Keep Cool/RCA and left has been releasing music. The fact that she is no longer signed with them and has been teasing things to come in 2026 is a good sign IMO.

the problem is Normani seems to lack a lot of the drive most of her peers harness well… see: all of the missed opportunities to make DOPAMINE feel like an era in the smallest of ways that she didn't care to try

i really want her to make me eat my words but the constant disappointment for nearly a decade :/ she needs to at least talk to us about her plans

If she had been signed to a more competent label, it would have been a better era but I agree that there's a lot more she should be doing. Let's hope this actually brings about real change. I think a documentary or sit down interview explaining what happened behind the scenes along with clearer communication about her future plans would really help.

As empty as the Dopamine era was, I just don't believe that she lacks drive. This is the same woman that competed on DWTS in LA while touring Asia at the same time. I think maybe she's just waiting for the dust to settle before she can really get active again

Really interested in seeing what her moves will be next year. If we do get music, this'll basically be her first chance at a reset in over half a decade.

@Cbreezy @Flare in case you haven't seen the news

i'm actually really excited, hopefully the new label (if she doesn't go independent) fully supports her vision! i truly think rca was holding her back. idc about the numbers, as long as she's happy.

This isn't anything to celebrate. Things will now get unimaginably worse for her, if that's even possible.

She no longer has access to funding from RCA, even if it was minimal. She doesn't seem to be the type to want to spend her own capital on releasing music.

Dopamine was a complete bomb and not a single label will want to take her on as an artist unless it's a really niche label.

What gave you the impression she does not want to spend her own money on her music? This is the same lady who put up $1 million for the Wild Side music video because the budget RCA gave her didn't the vision she had for it. If Lydia is a good manager, they could secure a distribution deal like Meg has for her music.

Can you now confirm what was going on behind the scene then? Appreciated you keeping us updated throughout the years. I do think she's the one that wanted out

I definitely think with her this was one of those "choose your hard" situations lol. I also think she could still get scooped up by a label. If she isn't already tbh. But legitimately if her label was stopping her on so many fronts .. why on eartthhh would she stay?

This feels really dramatic tbh. Being free from a label that clearly was not doing much for her is something to celebrate.

And the idea that she wouldn't spend her own money on her music is not even true. She partially funded the Wild Side video and I wouldn't be surprised if the Dopamine visuals were self funded too.

Calling Dopamine a complete bomb also ignores how little push it got. The rollout was messy and the promo was minimal and a lot of that is on RCA. An R&B album performing modestly without real support is not shocking.

There are plenty of ways forward now. I wouldn't assume things are automatically going to go downhill from here.

Are you a record exec? If not... this is an insane comment. Sabrina Carpenter flopped for years on a major label and then signed to another major label and is having the biggest moment of her career. I know it's normani so some of you want to be negative but come on... lol

I understand what @wildsidenormani means even though I do think things can be positive for her if she adjusts her expectations. My worry with that is that I don't believe she will totally. And I get the impression she doesn't enjoy the thankless work it would take to re-engage old fans or gain new ones.

New interview where she talks about new music in 2026. She said it's go go go next year. I haven't seen her this excited talking about music in a really long time.
