@wildsidenormani chances she announces the release date of dopamine with the single ? Potentially why it's only the album cover as the single cover?

I've seen a few people say she's dropping her album this Friday (they're obviously confused). 

They should really announce the date this Friday tho.

I guess people don't really know she's dropping a single, so they see a date and automatically assume that's when the album is coming :/ 

If things keep going at this rate I'd get ready for some lackluster numbers for 1:59  let's wait and see what they have planned for this week tho

The way they wouldn't have nobody to blame but themselves…

 

Really confused by their strategy of being ultra-quiet, only posting one TikTok a week, all consisting the same sound. Not exciting at all.

 

Let's hope things will get better once 1:59 is out.

i think y'all just want promo days before for some kind of gratification lol. LITERALLY if she kept teasing the song for weeks and days ppl would be over it. it makes THE most sense to start heavily promoting maybe wednesday/thursday so there's no more "girl where's the song" tweets and etc.

 

imagine if she did promote it for weeks and then days leading up ppl would say how they're tired and she's "dragging it" and etc. she really can never win lol.

I don't think you understand what some people mean by promo. She could easily produce some interesting content by simply hiring a videographer instead of uploading these tiktoks hand shot by herself   

 

There's always more room to complain, there's a whole week ahead

Are all of you really not already prepared for this?  I know it's not the same situation, but seems like everyone has very quickly forgotten that Fair literally didn't chart on the Hot 100

 

I'd love to be shocked, but I've been convinced for weeks that this isn't going to debut with numbers. And I truly couldn't care less as long as it doesn't cause RCA to delay the album again. I think she still has the potential to be a hitmaker long term, but that's only going to happen once she has a discography with more than a single digit number of songs. Almost every new big hitmaker of the last several years has become a hitmaker after they released a full album or at least a sizeable EP. Literally the only exception I can think of is Olivia, and she did it under very unique circumstances (combination of her Disney+ fanbase building up over time and all her romance drama propelling Drivers License into a massive cultural moment).

I cannot wait for the album. A whole new collection of songs, brand new content that we haven't heard yet.
A lot of us like the demos/unreleased/scrapped tracks floating around. If those did not make the cut, then this collection must be really good then.

to be fair, nobody wanted to hear "fair" when normani posts wednesday and thursday that'll be enough hype to get everyone to pay attention to her video lol. ppl's attention span is REALLY low these days so i'm not mad, she only needs wednesday and thursday to get everyone hype.

I'll say it again: you don't really understand what I'm saying. It's not really about the 10 second snippet (which could positively gain traction too) but more so to share visuals. 

 

People's attention span is very short but they engage in fun, interesting video content. Nice edits. You can create great things nowadays with a short budget. And considering Normani has always been "all about visuals" one would assume she'd be interested in doing so 

Excited for the song, we're back! But I still wonder why they waited so long.
