1:59 is a solid intro to her album IMO! Her vocals, adlibs and the vocal layering.. It's giving Wild Side's stripped down and stoned little sister. The only thing I don't like is the feature :x It should just be solo cause she sounds so good

I know it's release date so everyones gonna be all excited but truly this is not lead single material. It's not single material period. This is an album track you'd skip every now and then. Is it horrible, no but the lack of replay value is so obvious. The MV is all that's left that can save the song. Mixing isn't done well for her part in the first verss. Gunna part could've been anybody. Overall 7/10. I still have hope for this era. I'm just giving an honest review. I've been a stan since reflection in 5H. Wild Side should've stayed as the lead and CP should've been this leads comeback or and even better upbeat song.

I have seen positive tweets from people in New Zealand, Australia and Brazil actually. This is getting good reception on twitter from them.

 

I think people need to realize that one opinion is just one opinion lol. 

 

 

 

I personally like it and not just because its release day and I'm a fan. I do wish it was longer as is the issue I have with majority of songs out today, but she's sound so freaking good on the background vocals. I'm really looking forward to hearing the album in full now. Also, Still Tippin has grown on me a lot. I need Lydia to convince her to throw it on the deluxe.

Honestly, I think its just cool to hate on her right now. She has the opportunity to shift the perception on her by reminding people why they cared in the first place. It is why it is imperative we get the promo ball running with this single.  

The main thing I've learned is that I have to listen to songs on my own before letting everyone else opinions read as facts. Based on a couple of reply's in here i was extremely worried that the song was a chop. I just listened to it and it's far from that. Gunna's verse is good, he fits right in. I loved the panning (her adlibs going back in forth from ear to ear) Her enunciation in the first verse could have been better but outside of that, it's a 9/10 for me. I think the ppl that don't like it want something upbeat or because she took a min to curate her album they are expecting everything to be perfect across the board. I am excited to be listening to what she has created as someone who loves music. I'm not listening from a marketing point of view but from a music lovers pov and that's why i personally enjoy it.

The song is good not better than Wild Side but I could see it doing well if they send it to radio.

I love this perspective. It feels like people are trying to box her into this high-energy dance girlie, which I'm not a fan of. But with this song, it's really pleasing to the ear, and honestly, I don't have many complaints. The promo just needs to be on point because these few days, there hasn't been much info shared. Hoping today brings some clarity to her game plan.

Wild Side is an incredible r&b song! 1:59 is just not lead single material. It's a good song y'all think because people don't kiss ass off the bat that it's just hate. Out of all her singles, this is a week one. It's not about upbeat, I would've well received a good slow r&b track this just not a LEAD after a long hiatus

We are on the same page. I like that she's adamant that she's going to make things she enjoys and not what other people enjoy from her only. The good news for those people is that I'm sure there are songs on the album that have what they are looking for. It's just about duality. I try not to stress over promo because I can't control that aspect of her career, but I hope that her and her team are consistent with everything and that they utilize her performance abilities to help push her music. Her songs soar once they are performed. That's all she needs. She has to keep going. They can easily have this era be one for the books.

This is your opinion. I think you insinuating that the fans that like it only like it because we are excited to hear music was not necessary because that's just not the case. Maybe they like it because they can, just like you're not that fond of it because you can be. That's your opinion. I just think it's weird sometimes when people don't like what she does try to force that same opinion on others or pass off their thoughts as facts. 

I also love that the male feature on the song actually took the time to make sure his verse coincides with what the song is about. I hate when rappers get on female songs and talk about things that have nothing to do with the song. Gunnas verse is slutty and he matched her vibe for sure.

I absolutely love everything about this song. I'm very into sultry R&B and I do agree it's not meant for everyone. Hopefully you guys find a way to get into it. It can flop for all I care, I just want a ****** MV. Is that too much to ask? What's the plan exactly?????????????
