SZA teased and had 3 Top 10 hits before SOS dropped + her feats (like KMM & No Love) were hits and brought more hype to her next solo album. 
 

Nicki has the hype/demand too, she just don’t care. If she cared the rollout wouldn’t be this messy. 

Also, for years mfs always associate Nicki name to drama. So people check for the mess more than the music which prob why her sales aren’t hitting 300K+

Scissor is insufferable… & operates in a completely different genre than Nicki.
 

She’s not exceptionally vocally or tonally gifted in the field of rnb compared to lesser recognised peers. Nicki is the best at what she does.

Did you hear the crowd when Nicki performed RRDS at the VMAs? they knew every word and was loud af when the beat dropped.

SZA's and Nicki's situations are vey different, despite both having a messy rollout. 

 

Everyone was tuning in for SZA, not only because of her last collabs, but because of CTRL's legacy (something that can't be applied with Queef) and EVERY snippets from SOS became mega viral (Good Days, Shirt, Blind), whereas Nicki only has Super Freaky Girl (and no, Big Difference had its moment but it wasn't that massive on TikTok). The GP was very much impatient for this album. Despite Nicki doing a decent job at entertaining the barbz, I don't think the GP is that impatient to listen to PF2. 

My only complain (which is a big one) is the lack of music videos. RRDS so far being the only music video to represent the PF2 era this year is lowkey tragic sdfrgthyujikolpm

Nicki's last good album being released in 2014 doesn't really help either does it
