LFS flopped, and she still DARE to release a jazz album 3 years later... it's not a good look for her career..

 

but yeah she should have made Harlequin an EP instead.

Yeah, I enjoyed it better than the first but it's a pointless movie. She's great in it though and will be the highlight for most people (fans or not)

Pointless in what way? The CBM fans care only about an universe plot that keeps the story going from one plotline to another, meanwhile Joker's universe is never about what's coming next. It's about character and the real life reflection. If it says something meaningful and deep then it's not pointless. This is not supposed to be  part of DCU and where the story goes is never the main point.

harlequin could still pull some numbers with the help of the movie

but anyways of she isnt doing a jazz record in 2024 to have smash hits

Because of the mixed signal they received after Venice, it all depends on how Warner chooses to campaign it, which is still in the air. They probably won't decide it before they got the box office results.

I think it deserves a 70 but mostly yeah. I don't think the critics gave enough credit for the technical work, musical direction/score/arrangements, and some of the bolder directing choices, but unfortunately the story wasn't there the courtroom drags it down and parts felt like they went through many edits.

So, do we love them again?

HOG was also criticized for the amount of courtroom scenes right? Next time a Gaga movie involves legal issues they better hire her.

That's my biggest concern with her campaign.

She was the driving force of him going back INTO the Joker character and causing mayhem again, but nothing real came of that? She had nothing to do with his the major change in his character which was the sobering confession moment. Basically he's not pure evil, but she is—and we all know a pure villain is tough to campaign for awards.

Agree with some, don't agree with others. 54 is way too low.

Agree with everything except tedious. I literally enjoyed 80% of the movie as I watching it. 

 

Idk movie critics come across as snobby people - they're not normal and I totally disagree with the l entire concept of putting them on a pedestal/caring about their opinions.

 

The GP will carry the movie as they did the first one. People are interested in seeing this movie. This wasn't a mistake for Gaga to do - at all.

Well let her do to satisfy her creative process even though it's a flop. It's a side project, a passion project so nothing wrong with it. It diversified her discography even more not only jazz but other genres that she's trying to experiment  with her vocal and it worked. So, this won't hurt her career.
