Performing standards is fine, but it's clear these songs don't resonate with modern listeners, and Gaga tends to choose very basic arrangements for these songs which adds to the old fashioned nature and feeling of these projects. It's sort of like trying to bring back puppet shows as children's entertainment in today's age. Somethings just become too old fashioned and can't be brought back without some changes. 

Y'all really let the OGHs get to you?  Even I joke around with the Harlequin album and the movie potentially bombing in those threads. Pls y'all need to realize that there's no benefit stressing over and constantly defending a soon-to-be billionaire woman's chart positions  she's happy, she's inlove, she's engaged and will get married soon, she's inspire, she's mega rich, she's successful. Even if this whole site turn to OGH it won't even faze me even a little bit because she's somebody and we are All nobody here.

I think the production is very good, it's way modern than C2C/L4S. The quality of this album is not the reason why it doesn't attract listeners, most just won't listen to certain genres no matter how you spin it. This probably is what will happen to Joker2, many people won't go to see it just because it's a musical, no matter how hard you twist it like Todd did with ''dialogue but with singing'', they won't change their mind.

 

The truth is simple, this album is unknown to public 1 week ago, she teased them on her one social account with no explanation, most of the world who don't pay attention to music scene like music stans don't know about them. Most people that know it exists will not listen to it because of its genre.

I secretly believe it's Sarah Tanno's fault. 

If I had a dollar for everytime I listened to Hapoy Snoozestakes I'd have 5 dollars

On a positive note, these numbers just show that no one has even attempted to listen to this record, and so they will go into #LG7 without the Good Morning trigger. Those who have will be locked away in a mental institution anyway so it's not like they'd be able to stream it.

 

However, she really needs to promote the first single as her triumphant return to pop for the rah rah bi*** - that's what hyped the masses the last time. No more HAC, no more jazz. P O P!  

(The fact that we are getting her 5 main artistic endeavors in just 3 months one after the other - HAC ballad, Jazz covers, soundtrack, movie, POP single - is absolutely crazy. Imagine ASIB, HMH, C2C & Chromatica all happening at the same time).

What were y'all expecting?  It was always going to flop, it's a jazz record.  I keep repeating this in other threads, but it's a dead genre.  She clearly makes her jazz records out of love and doesn't expect success from them, so maybe learn to accept that.  OGHs are legitimately stupid, so just let them be. 

Yeah she was just planning the composition and what to change. Harlequin is still the secret project, it seems.

TBH, I think she would've gotten much more positive reactions if the snippets weren't what they were and she just announced a jazz covers album "with a few surprises!"

 

 

Good Morning really has that trolling factor in it. It sounds like a song you would hear in your confining basement when you are kidnapped by a serial killer.
