I had a dream she put PARTYNAUSEOUS on streaming last night but it was a remix with Harry Styles (?) and Lil' Kim  

 

Spotify streams accumulated in 2024 thus far:

• Poker Face: 244.4 million*
• Shallow: 221.7 million
• Bad Romance: 198.3 million*
• ARUTW: 196 million*
• Just Dance: 190.4 million*

• DWAS: 123.8 million*

 

* means the song is on track to get its highest amount of streams in a year in 2024. 

 

Now this is the part where I'd usually divide each total by the number of days that have passed in 2024, multiply that total by the number of days left in 2024, and use that to predict the total streams each song will get in 2024. But that doesn't paint too accurate a picture this time (Bad Romance had really high streams earlier in the year which would inflate the estimate, and Judas's streams were a lot lower at the beginning of the year which would lowball the estimate). And since DWAS is currently smashing, it's too early to try to pin down an "average" that could be used to predict its streams in a year. 

 

Now what can be predicted is that DWAS is going to top this list by the middle of September and ARUTW is going to surpass Bad Romance within a few weeks. Other than that, the placements will most likely stay the same for the rest of the year.

The GP doesn't have taste, since ROM should be doing way better than it is (even if it's already hit 1B).

The ballads/country/rock songs on the ASIB soundtrack are what Joanne should've been imo, but if Joanne had to walk for ASIB to run then I'm fine with it  

Million Reasons is amazing, so that alone made Joanne worth it. Obviously, I wish the era had more to it (especially with visuals), but without Joanne, we would've never gotten ASIB. And ASIB is obviously a career peak for her (that'll likely lead into her next peak, being JFAD/DWAS/LG7 combination if LG7 doesn't bomb.) 

 

Thats not shade to Chromatica. It did OK, but wasn't a repeak. Average is fine sometimes too, though. 

 

Careers are long and winding. Just like for any of us, you never know what doors will open from your latest effort and many things are steps to the next bigger phase.
