It's really crazy to think she's now known for her ballads as much as her dance tracks. The girls see it as a downgrade but no one has served this kind of versatility. Even Madonna who's known as queen of reinventions didn't see much success with her ballad ventures. A chameleon indeed.

It's really weird to not open the pre-orders if it's coming in just three weeks  but who know, LG7 will have an unusual rollout for sure with DWAS and Joker

Assuming all this info is true, this has become a very tight schedule when you could argue they've had ample opportunities to release up until now, a time when she's about to be busy promoting a movie and have a consecutive week hit on the Hot 100. Not ungrateful for any of these events to be true, but it's bizarre to me that her team would suddenly push up the release and go balls to the wall in one single month. Billie announced on the Monday of the week that was 5 weeks prior to her album release date. Using that logic say she announced at the top of next week, the timeframe would take us to October 11th for the album. Pre-orders are super helpful, and surprise releasing isn't in style so much anymore.

 

I find it too unrealistic to expect an album within the next 4 weeks.

Ummm this makes sense. 

Releasing LG7 all at once would be so fresh and interesting for her. I'm with Interscope on this one.  

But Gaga loves a traditional release with a lead single 100%

Technically she could do what she did with DWAS, announce on Thursday that she has a new song coming out at midnight on 6/9, if they catch the buzz right and she got a top 10 debut she'd have two songs top 10 at once, announce the album on Friday once they song is out for 27/9 and then she still has 3 weeks for pre-order.

 

But, like, there is no way this is happening.  

I DO NOT believe that there is not a single song on the album that can't be released as the lead. She is a pop musician, as much as experimental she gets, she still makes pop music. I am sure Interscope would prefer to have a lead at least a month before the album. If she releases everything at once, then it will be because she wanted it that way as she expressed in her latest TikTok post. 

Also, before the release of DWAS, which was very unexpected and quick for everyone involved, we still had trustworthy insiders (e.g., Mr S) come here and give us information. If LG7 was this close, we would have heard about it from them.

- A lot is going on behind the scenes specifically, what Gaga wants clashes with Interscope, what Interscope wants is clashing with Gaga's ideas. But it is happening in September and they are working out things

- Interscope wants to do a Billie style drop, Gaga is looking for more longevity for the era, multiple singles etc.
- Lead did change due to Interscope's request for a more commercial sound. Unsure if they switched it back after DWAS success although an MV is ready.
- Distributors already have the album and were asked to tease/leak snippets from the album to generate hype.
- There may be some massive leaks as people are in access of the album. (This is a guess)

 

Distributors having the album is throwing me off too a bit. Plus the only credible leak we got was 6 seconds of Girlfriend. Unless I missed something recently. Errr I'm not moving with this yet. We'll see how next week goes. I presume she'll be active on her socials if she flies out to Venice earlier which could be a good momentum grab, but also if she and Interscope still haven't actually came to an agreement on the plan yet, I doubt they'd have anything ready imminently.

Even if there's no lead single (my

preference), there should still be a first single that's pushed hard (like Taste) upon album release. 
 

I want the music sooner rather than later, but also think waiting until October helps build more goodwill with radio and streaming platforms with DWAS that she'll be able to use for LG7. It's still growing rapidly in most places, so it'd be somewhat odd to undercut it with another single suddenly.
