The possible Olympics promo is exciting, but...wasn't Katy's song Rise pushed by the Olympics (I know the song itself was meant to promote the Olympics, but it was like cross promtion)? We all saw how that turned out.  I feel like the Kats have said for years the planned push for it was cancelled and it was barely used for that Olympics after all, but I don't know if that's true and it just makes me second guess the commercial viability of that platform for music promo.

 

Either way, it's still exciting there's a possibility of a televised performance though!

The closing ceremony should be lower than that.

And if it turns out to be a new song written for the Olympics, then it has a good shot at SOTY and another performance at the G-awards.

 

 

I will delulu myself that she will close the ceremony in France because she's the bridge for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
