I know times have changed and promo isn't required in 2024 but I still can't see Gaga going the Bey and Billie Eilish route where they drop the album with no visuals, performances or photoshoots. I'm not expecting a full album capaign ala 2011 but I'm pretty sure Gaga will have several photoshoots mapped out along with a Zane Lowe interview, maybe one award show performance, a spot on SNL and two music videos (maybe a visual album if we're lucky).

promo nowadays is paying influencers on tiktok, playlisting and autoplays.

 

Visuals and Performances don't effect charts anymore, so most artists don't even bother. But I hope Gaga do serve a proper era

I watched the chromatica ball twice and the editing is actually really good. So yeah it took time but ultimately she did a great job.

Have you heard some new songs? 

The movie is soooo good I spent the whole day watching and rewatching it. The piano section made me bawl SEVERAL times, and has also made me realize she has improved a lot as a pianist- Ugh TEOG you will always be my favorite GARGAMEL song

 

The editing was kinda choppy at times but all in all it's the best full-lenght representation of her as an artist. I'm obsessed!

The special was amazing

apparently HBO Max are the ones who pushed for less than 120 minutes footage (no BTS, interludes shortened)

but it was so good to see it in high quality and seeing her energy. You can clearly see she had the time of her life during the tour

Why did she cancel the plans scheduled before lockdown? Like, there was a BRIT Awards performance planned?

 

Rachel, this is serious... this is REALLY serious.

 

Gaga hasn't served a proper era since BTW and you guys are saying she will do it in 2024?  be real gworls. Pray she records more than one mv and does more than what she did during the Chromatica era where she blamed everything on covid when all the other popstars managed to work around it. Let's see if she can make up for so many wasted years this time around.

Well for BRITs that would be since Stupid Love got delayed and came out after the ceremony

Billie has done visuals, performances, and photoshoots though, she just didn't release any singles pre-album. Just last week she did a ton of interviews, released an MV, and performed on TV.

 

I think LG7 will have some traditional promo, but obviously nothing like she used to do in the past.

As long as the music is good i dont even care tbh. Single in June, music video, some interviews, a performance, album July/August with second single and video. After that we have Joker, award season and a possible world tour to keep us fed well into 2025.

Exactly. I'm looking forward to the music cuz Chromatica was excellent as an album but to expect Gaga of all popstars to serve a proper, cohesive and well executed ERA is literally ludicrous at this point. I'm focusing on the music first and foremost personally. She always delivers in that regard.

Joanne was sporadic burst of promo and then dead silence for months in between. It was chaos. The superbowl and a few other moments saved it. Not a well executed era by no means.

Exactly. We were sooo FED during Joanne. Hate when stans pay this era to dust. We got the dive bar, we got the SUPER BOWL, Victoria secrets, she went to Japan. She was booked and busy during that era. We could have had a professional recording too( yeah luck wasn't on her side)
