It is just that Gar is SO talented and beloved by the industry that every role she touches becomes Oscar bait.

 

For real, though, I mainly want her to win the Oscar so she can then feel as if she can do any kind of movie without that pressure. She obviously wants to win and maybe winning will have her start trying out for different types of roles.

I largely agree, but while I would love to see her do a true "genre" film here and there, films for adults is her lane. She's proving herself to be a consistent box office draw there. And that's rare in the current climate and studios really value that, especially in comparison to actors who need to be tied to IP and genre films to succeed commercially. 

 

I think the approach she has now- picking strong adult-oriented projects that have prestige but aren't necessarily obvious "awards bait" is perfect. There's a lot of artistic room in that- arthouse films, mid-budget projects, artsy blockbusters (Nope, Barbie, Oppenheimer), auteur passion projects, etc.- and it would be beneficial to her career long-term to continue to position herself like that.

Every time they see Gaga on the news or watch a movie of hers or listen to Shallow they will remember and recall themself that "OMG remember the day I witnessed Gaga when she wasn't famous and performing for a few people at a park"

Does Shallow still hold the record for most awarded song

I might be the only one here who is wishing she releases LG7 in the summer of 2025. 
Single 1 in April. Single 2 and Album in June. Single 3 in August and if there is a (GP demand for a) fourth single, release it in October and then a world tour in the Spring/Summer of 2026 if she is up to it health wise.

I think she could potentially go on tour already in mid-late Summer 2025 with a Spring 2025 release, that also should be part of the purpose of releasing next year, having the same timetable of the supposed 2020 album + tour, and supporting also in that way the album would be ideal, hopefully they will take advantage of JFAD hype properly this time.

Gaga's skin is leaving the Fortnite item shop tomorrow.

It was such a good time to be a little monster last night. I went to the club last night and it was such a great vibe seeing everyone get hyped and high in Gaga music. The DJ did An amazing remix of just dance and bad romance with updated edm beats and people were losing there **** over it. Everyone was singing along and jumping up n down with the few Gaga songs that show up. Thank god for JFAD no doubt she is back at cool table 100% with gen-z.

After the big crumb of the trailer, I think we're up to the last dead period (and the final effort of waiting) before the JFAD era kicks in properly.

 

At this point it seems unlikely to me that she's gonna release this Summer with also considering the Vegas jazz dates, or at least I don't expect that scenario, I also don't see her releasing during JFAD a la Prince but because there is already a soundtrack for the movie that can potentially performs good in my opinion (whereas in Prince case that was also the official soundtrack) and it seems kind of unlikely to me passing from a big break to have two music projects release at the same time with the risk of one overshadow the other given how much JFAD will be massive and how all the attention will be on that project, with the trailer we already got a taste of that.

I saw this post on the r/boxoffice subreddit that was apparently an analysis of Todd Phillips's filmography from a BO perspective (they do those for a lot of directors apparently). Long story short, he has a history of being a very profitable director (8/10 of his directed movies doubled their budgets at the BO, 7 tripled them, ect.) and he knows what his audiences want. We can already tell by the trailer that J:FaD is in the hands of a capable director and that he knows what he's doing. And I'm glad she picked such a good project for movie #3.

 

I also think it speaks volumes that he basically wrote Harley with Gaga in mind after working with her in ASIB (which she got casted in after Bradley saw her perform at a charity event). Her talent really keeps paying dividends. 

Todd's run on the Hangover films and then Joker box office wise is lowkey legendary
