The term dark bop is so vague.

 

For a long time Born This Way songs weren’t considered dark bops and the term was only used for The Fame Monster 

 

Now it seems like dark bop can be used for any song someone likes (and it is only used when talking about Gaga music)

Bradley worked out great and obviously Ridley is a legend but she needs to start working with directors who have more flair

This is high key true… TCB really turned things around for me. She still has it in her to deliver visuals and great outfits. If she ever headlines a major festival again, we do need top tier quality, not what we got at Coachella

Nightmare Alley was artistic excellence and much better than House of Gucci lbr here.

There are plenty of interesting directors out there, most important thing is having a role and project perfect for her, even if HOG didn't turn out acclaimed or memorable, it still remains the best choice she could have done for her second movie at the time, that role was perfect for her.

 

The same for JFAD, we never took in consideration that director before the rumors came out, but the project and role were again just perfect for her and she did the right choice on the paper.

This is very true, just working with a great director isn't enough, the script and overall movie needs to be a good fit for Gaga.

We just need his script to be written by someone else.

She should go mega indie and work with David Lynch for ha next role it’ll transform her

 

Last time Lynch directed a movie was almost 20 years ago and it was mid, his last good movie was 'Mullholland Drive' released even more than 20 years ago, the 'Twin Peaks' continuation released few years ago was mid as well, not sure if he still has it, I feel like he doesn't care much these days.
