I totally get not feeling the big pharma sponsorship, but I don't really get the incessant hatred over Haus labs posts. So she posts some ads on her Instagram for her make-up brand.....and what? So does Rihanna, Ariana, Selena etc (AND Gaga also releases more music and tours more than all of those artists).... If it bothers you that much then just don't look at it

 

Idk if it's because monsters were so spoiled in the first half of her career, but it's wild to me how her own fanbase attacks her as soon as she is doing something that SHE wants to do. I swear some liddos deserve a 10 year wait for LG7 to be a jazz album with Michael Buble and Josh Groban.

EXACTLY. Notice how ALL of the stars you mentioned were once hyperactive with their fanbases too at some point and stopped doing so. Gaga gets SOO much criticism for "it being different now", girl she's grown up. Pick me stans who need a like, and a follow are the reason that **** like this blow's way out of proportion to the point where people are calling her anti LGBT. I get not being into her new ultra capitalist moment and that's 100% valid but its sooooo disingenuous to act like she's the only one doing it. Like you mentioned here the double standard and hypocrisy is so odd. Its been 10 years since ARTPOP and the parasocial relationship between her and Monsters has somehow gotten WORSE despite her taking a clear step back.

Yeah honestly the reaction to this makes it clear as day why Gaga took a step back and became more distant, it's clearly the right decision and more healthy for her.

I respect her hustle in keeping a check. This obvs is the least favorable route she’s done but lbr … most Monsters hate and drag her side projects (i.e. jazz, makeup, wine, Vegas, acting before ASIB). The stanning will return when Joker comes out and the avg human will overlook this.
