I wonder how 2008 dancing at Ikea Gaga would feel when she sees her future self being a fulltime Influencer

Spoiler

I really don't care about her doing the ad or them using Cumshot Balls footage, but this is the funniest thing to happen in GaGaville in forever :dies:

Can we hire the Swifts that wrote a letter to Taylor so that they can write another one to Lady Ads?

In an alternate world, after the Oreo ads she saw our lashings and understood that we don't want her to become a full-time Instagram influencer with a bad feed

Instagram influencers actually have to have some sort of content on their social media that would attract sponsorships. Gaga is just a marketplace board at this point lol.

this comment on her latest post having over 770 likes is crazy

"It’s so wild being a fan since I first saw you at The Fame Ball back in 2009 and seeing what you’ve become in 2023. I still love your music but your energy lately is so cold. You knew what you were doing using a Chromatica Ball photo knowing damn well most of us are waiting even though it’s 99.9% shelved like all your other tour footages. It’s also extremely alarming how silent you’ve been with the recent attacks towards trans people. Just because you included trans people in a lyric of your song from 12 years ago, doesn’t give you the right to remain silent when you feel like it. It only exposes how performative you really were back then. Was it ever genuine? I’m sure it was but your energy lately shows that you prioritize money, power and success over disenfranchised communities. I don’t even care if the chromatica ball is shelved but god damn the least you can do is write a heartfelt post or video expressing love for the trans community who are the reason your career is successful. Even other celebrities are more engaging than you are now. Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Dua Lipa have all showed love to the trans community and gay community recently but you’ve been very silent. So disheartening."

They didn't lie though. I'm not really upset about the sponsored post. I'm more upset about how silent she's been during Pride Month especially with the uprise of hate towards the lgbtq community

I saw this comment and gagged a bit. It’s sad when it’s coming from her own fans. I was a huge stan from 2009-2013. She was so outspoken and so centered on her artistic statements then that it’s crazy to see that she’s doing something as conventional and generic as a pharmaceutical ad. Also very weird she hasn’t said anything about pride.

Has anyone confirmed that footage is from the LA show (like from fan YouTube videos)

It is because of the light-up bracelets in the crowd. LA was the only city that had them for all attendees.

Ehh, not when at least half of these names have been silent/apolitical their entire careers though while she was busy being on the frontlines since day one :rip:

I mean, I get it. Her silence at such a critical time (and during this month especially) does sting to us OGs who have stuck with her the longest and know how she's always walked the talk, true. But some people are also being a little idk, myopic as a result of all the pent up frustration from disappointments/broken promises mixed with their perception of the state of her career. It's not really fair to her to write off her more-than-decade-long efforts and contributions, labeling them as "performative" and questioning her sincerity towards fighting the good fight just because...she isn't posting something online atm.

There's also a strong mismatch of expectations that's been plaguing this fanbase for a while now. People expect something from her, she doesn't do that, then meltdowns ensue. But then when she does it her way, it's still not enough. Last year everyone was on her neck constantly when she was radio silent on the abortion bans with not a peep on her socials. But then she talked not just about that while touring but also addressed gun violence and gay marriage at length, even in the reddest states. On every single US date.

Honestly, it just feels like she genuinely doesn't like using her socials anymore for anything other than posting these contractually obligated sponsorship posts or when she has something to promote. She'd much rather prefer to talk about these issues physically, in person, during a concert than post a Notes app'd statement. Or maybe she's just really taking her time to gather all her thoughts and articulate them in the best and most unequivocal way that she can to post later when she feels ready? Also like, I wouldn't be surprised if during her next era she just posts the links to singles/mvs/shoots and then dips again, this is probably the new normal. A normal that the fanbase will have to slowly start adjusting to. At least that's how I try to make sense of it all.

Sorry for the long-winded post lol but just had to give my two cents on this.

Anyways, excited for the TCB special if it ever comes but the optics of this whole thing is just, ugh Bobbé when I CATCH YOU

Dance & Pop Have Long Been Deeply Intertwined

From Beyoncé to Lady Gaga, pop titans have been incorporating elements of dance and electronic music for decades. Now, there's a new, and essential, category that reflects the convergence between these two genres.

As the official Recording Academy statement describes, the new Best Pop Dance Recording category "recognizes tracks and singles that feature up-tempo, danceable music that follows a pop arrangement."

If this kicks up questions about remixes in the dance and electronic landscape, the Academy's got that covered: Dance remixes will continue to live in the Best Remixed Recording category.
