Thank you. Like if you watch both tours in full, they are both very different takes. CBall had this dark industrial/brutalist aesthetic that is very reminiscent of MJ's HIStory/Madonna's Blonde Ambition/Janet's Rhythm Nation tours and the album/tour gradually reflect her healing journey through music. Renaissance on the other hand is a big celebration and honoring of Black Queer culture/music with alien/AI robot Beyoncé transporting you to another dimension. Basically, two pop stars pulling from the same pool and having different approaches.

is important to acknowledge what you see on here and stan twitter is the EXACT opposite of the real world. gaga is a beloved, respected actress and singer who is loved by the public AND the industry. the numbers show it. these people who act otherwise literally do not live in reality. they have to live in a fake world in order to feel better about themselves.

Y’all just need to tell them “you’re wrong, enjoy the tour anyway” and stop replying.  The influence/inspiration is undeniable even if Bey’s team didn’t intend to pull from Gaga’s tour and visuals.  It’s mostly the OGHs starting s**t and making the Bey stans get defensive.  Just let them enjoy their fave’s tour and clap back when you’re bored.

also, like, it should bring you satisfaction that the person so many claim to be "the best" is pulling the same references/ideas as gaga did a while ago. these stans have told us time and time again gaga has had no impact and this proves otherwise. it's validation even if those stans don't want to admit it.

The way people act like Gaga is some Z lister who Beyoncé couldn’t possibly take inspiration from. You guys have done a terrible job of defending Gaga. @perfillusion is spot on. We need to stop letting people treat Gaga like a talentless, b movie actress with a failed music career. 

If this was about Gaga borrowing from Madonna, it’d be a bloodbath against Gaga, but sure let’s pretend that monsters acting less than cordial is the reason OGHs drag us.

y’all are so dramatic. You guys do realize most people like Gaga/at worst don’t care for her? They are only trolling her because they get under your skin, and while pathetic, it makes sense: You give them reactions all the time.

The worst thing about it, is that everyone can see how pressed some of you are that Gaga’s not paid the respect she deserves on this forum. 

Everyone with eyes can see that the renaissance tour looks Gaga-inspired, and that it’s an amazing show.

Gaga getting her flowers starts first with us. People enter spaces like this base and see us calling her work Jopanned, Chromebook, etc. and of course they devalue Gaga's work as a result. Yes, sometimes we like to joke but there have been instances where we've taken it a bit far.

 

Monsters haven't always been angels in stan wars either, which I feel is why many bases love to pick fights with us.

 

The most productive thing we can do is appreciate our fave's work and remind ourselves that the real world, especially employed people, see Gaga as a legend.
