'Shallow' is literally a not conventional song structure wise, it's not easy to replicate and several factors made it the success it was, 'Shallow' sound is not really a thing that you can replicate for a whole album.

The thing with Gar going pure pop again is that she will always work with that failed producer (bloodpop) that makes her music sound cheap. Enough. I'd rather have her releasing ballads forever than coming back with another Chromatica type of album.

This. Like, she's practically yodeling in the bridge. Shallow is not a "GP friendly" ballad.

Nothing is cheap about Chromatica. It has one of the most expensive sounding production out of her whole career

And why did it go so viral? It's not like they were forced to stream the song on Spotify and use it for random, non-Wednesday Tik Toks 

 

And it will end up as one of her biggest streaming hits when all is said and done

It went viral because people like the song, it was already showing signs of potential already with the Halloween boost, reason of why the song was picked for making a Tiktok video, this also proves that certain songs just needs the right exposition.

Gaga switches producers every couple of albums. We have no reason to think BP will be heavily involved in LG7.

Not impossible but she's also a massive music nerd in general and seemingly listens to everything. Irrc she really likes Wet Leg  I honestly think she'd just play around with genres.

Anyways, whatever genre LG7 is i just hope she stops trying to pander to gays and serves something that she actually loves and believes in, it's clear that her heart isn't in dance pop music anymore and that's completely fine, she's a very versatile artist and there are a lot of genres that she can explore next

A MOMENT

It's true the production on Chromatica is what stops it from being what could have been her best album to date. Lyrically and conceptually its all there. She did her part, she just needs better producers. I can't believe they heard the demo version of 1000 doves and chose that weak production that we ended up with on the album over that gorgeous song. Whether she goes pop, ballads or an entirely new direction I really would only want bloodpop involved in a limited capacity if at all. Ballad wise I cannot stand Hold My Hand, it might actually be my least favourite song from her ever. HMH is just unlistenable to me and thats never happened to me with a Gaga song before. It makes it easier knowing its just a soundtrack song and I don't like most soundtrack songs in general but god that song is a dud.

 

But also when it comes to her next album her team really need to get their **** together which probably won't happen, the fact that they allowed the SL video to exist.. I mean where is the budget? I hope all those Chromatica sponsorships pay for better visuals or she starts putting in some of her own money because artists at a much lower caliber could pull off way better videos than that. SL and MR are major stains on her videography.
