I hope all those Chromatica sponsorships pay for better visuals or she starts putting in some of her own money because artists at a much lower caliber could pull off way better videos than that. SL and MR are major stains on her videography.

Not to quote you again () but couldn't we say the same thing about Shallow? You and I was one of her more moderate hits at that time, Million Reasons only attained success after one of her biggest single campaigns ever, Hold My Hand was a flop, ARUTW did well because of longevity, etc. Who's to say that she'll automatically smash out of the gate with AC ballads? 

 

Regardless, I think that the GP and industry love Gaga as both a pop auteur and a raw talent and that she can smash with quality. 

The GP has spoken I fear. They want dark bops from Miss TABS, and not reheated ASIB leftovers.

The difference between Shallow/BM and Stupid Song/HMH is that the former are AMAZING songs and the latter are..... songs, the reality is that the GP will eat whatever Gar releases as long as it is GOOD

Like I said before when it comes to Gaga people are not thinking about Gaga doing ballads and being safe that what other AC artist are fore. Gaga has already proven her talent to the gp and to the industry she can handle anything. Gaga doing an entire album of shallows and hold my hand would pointless imo because it brings nothing new to Gaga career other than new smash hits and just expanding her overal catalog. 
 

Imo Gaga is already beyond commercial success and she has created her own lane where people expect Gaga to deliver something new and fresh to the table something that the other girls just cannot deliver or capable of pulling off.  Even her ballads other pop girls cannot pull it off or even albums like btw or the fame monster they’re not a single pop girl who could do exactly what Gaga can do in this day and age.

but the thing is Chromatica added literally NOTHING to her music catalogue... outside of a few highlights like Babylon, Replay, 911, Alice, Enigma, all songs felt pretty much safe Gaga... I'm not saying I want a full album of Shallow either but I'd rather for her to go fully where her heart leads... whether than her getting told by her producers what Lady Gaga is...

Anyways, whatever genre LG7 is i just hope she stops trying to pander to gays and serves something that she actually loves and believes in, it's clear that her heart isn't in dance pop music anymore and that's completely fine, she's a very versatile artist and there are a lot of genres that she can explore next

She doesn’t need to reinvent the wheel every time  she makes music. Literally 99% of main stream artists release the same music over and over again that adds nothing new to their catalog 

 

Gaga already has a collection of massive hits that can carry her whole music career. It almost seems like Chromatica was just released so she could have a reason to go on tour. Which a lot of artists do

BM is amazing, Shallow/ARUTW are amazing, Chromatica is amazing and added a LOT to her discography. She’s constantly evolving, creating and releasing different music and it’s one of the things I love about her, even when I don’t like some of the songs, I can still appreciate them. Can’t wait for another chapter from Miss Godga.

Congrats to Mary  But honestly, I'm more excited to see it reach top 3 on HAC. Who would've thought this of all songs would make it so far on HAC

 

If those recording rumors are true, then chances are she's going to go in the studio with BloodPop, record something quickly and release it. Interscope is probably hounding her for an album. I hope either she aims to make a bunch of big pop smashes or something more off the cuff, low key, because something in the middle like SL ain't gonna cut it for her anymore

Without ChroMAGA we wouldn't have the career highlight that is Replay, so I'll give it that, but that's IT.

This is untrue. It added house genre songs to her discography. One thing I've never liked is how people regard her first four albums and Chromatica as "dance pop" when electronic music is so much more complicated than that.

 

Synth pop, dance pop, electro pop, EDM, house, techno, they're all different explorations of the electronic music umbrella. Other than Dua Lipa, Gaga also saw the tea leaves and got ahead of the house trends that shaped early 2020s music with Chromatica. Sometimes I think we let what happened to the era's potential cloud our objective view of Chromatica, which is a well-written, well-crafted album that critics loved.

 

I do agree, though, that it was a callback to her earlier work and at this point, she should really focus on moving her artistic vision forward.

also why act like she literally did nothing from 2020 to this day in terms of music? I'm not saying she recorded a full body of work, but she def has ideas and lyrics probably in one of her computers

 

My issue with Chromatica is that while, yes, it does differ from her first few dance-pop releases with the more straightforward 90s house influence, it just doesn't differ enough. I hear so many people say "She needs to move on from dance music" as though she's played it out, when really she's explored her influences through a somewhat narrow pop lens (which was fine and even groundbreaking at the beginning of her career, but by the time Chromatica came around, I think we needed something a little more forward-thinking). Dance music is such a vast genre and Gaga can do so much more with it than what she's done.
