Honestly, the idea that she *has* to chain herself to a piano and do some recital rendition of a ballad to impress the industry is so reductive. She's been accepted by Hollywood. They see her as one of their leading stars. And part of being versatile is showing different things. Expecting her to only do acoustic performances at these shows is the opposite of that. Her doing a rousing, lively performance of HMH that celebrates Top Gun would be fantastic and show a different side of her to voters. Older "meat and potatoes" voters would eat that sh*t up.
