I can’t believe Gaga chromatica ball really boosted her streams a lot. I mean there is no other explanation gaga low key is going through a rennassiance moment right now. I can’t think any other reason recently that sparked the gp interest in her again. It’s not like Gaga has several viral songs right now on tik tok.

Would just like to see Rain On Me back above 400k. Hold My Hand being a consistent 500k + daily; has definitely been a nice addition to the discog and her soundtrack entries / ballads.

I just noticed the playlists today. I hope streams pick up as we move closer to Halloween. Monster & BM deserves!

We knew about LG6 and Cheek II Cheek back in 2018, and she was working openly on both at the same time as finishing up the soundtrack for A Star Is Born and having the Vegas residences to plan.

 

Both those albums ended up getting delayed from 2019 to 2020 to 2021 for LFS.

 

Even if Gaga has been working quietly on an album and she and whatever collaborators she is working with have somehow managed for no word to get out on their sessions, she would be spending the next few months on filming, and would have been focused beforehand primarily on the now wrapped tour and Joker prep work, which would leave the rest of 2023 into early 2024 to finish up and then have a quicker turnaround to release than maybe any album she’s ever recorded?

 

And we still don’t know what is up with the soundtrack yet. It could be in Gaga’s mind her next true musical project even if there’s no original music and be what she works on while the film is in post-production.

 

I don’t think that she is incapable of working quickly or too fragile / old, and she  is often balancing multiple things at once, but we know that no matter how fast she records something it doesn’t equate with how quickly it gets released.

 

Maybe we will get lucky and we get her next studio album + the soundtrack in 2024. I just think it requires a smoother path than seems realistic.

A new album before JFAD seems unlikely for the reasons you said.

 

If she would have been in the studio for a new album, we would have known by now also from producers, I doubt suddenly she will do everything secretly, her team can't even prevent her material to leak, the chances she has a new studio album ready are low, unless they decide to release a 'Chromatica' continuation with leftovers from that project.

 

Since 'Chromatica' release the only two periods in which she has been free for long time was Summer and the rest of 2020, doubt that in that period she recorded something immediately after releasing an album + she has been prepared for HOG in the last months of that year.

Then we have Summer 2021 after she filmed HOG, but she was definitely resting + preparing for L4S.

 

In the free windows she had, it seems more likely she managed to record secretly something for the movie that I'm always more convinced it's gonna be covers anyway.

the tour, the fact she recently released a single helps things like this (Ariantors are begging ari to release something cause it will help 'santa tell me' ), TikTok, her team's focus on BTW on streaming that started before the anniversary, and the fact that females are coming back in particularly with the dance sound (cuff it, unholy, im good) is bringing people back to the old bawps.
