I'd be shocked if the album is still coming in Feb. She's reverted to saying 'this year' shortly after Joker flopped, rather than February. 

The fact that we're so self-deprecating about her career, it could literally be the 28th February and we'd still be saying "don't get your hopes up for an announcement today be real guys".

It was slated for a February release up until the end of November. They stopped mentioning February once they announced that DWAS would be included on the album.

That LA times interview didn't mention anything about a release date (this is the same interview that she said DWAS is on the album) but that doesn't explicitly mean that it isn't coming in February. There's a few timeframes that match up to how the other girls have announced and released that allows for a February release. And at most I believe it would only be pushed to mid-March. It's hope she says something this week, I'll clown and countdown today, but she should hopefully say something at somepoint this week.

If she released music every time her store was down, we would've been on LG16 now

 

I know we really dont **** with the jazz albums but fad really served us 10 albums (and about to be 11) in 16 years whew

 

I always overlook this and think she took long breaks between solo albums but she was really still making music then (its just music we cant bop to on the daily dddd)

 

If you think about it, now she has DWAS she can put more singles out and not worry about their performance.

Like DWAS success is equal to 2 hits singles already. It would be like a bigger version of ESV

I mean at least announce the next single

I still think that pushing the release even just a month forward would be a terrible idea. The ones in here might be the most dedicated and loyal part of the fandom—the craziest, even—but even we are starting to "lose patience".

 

It's not that we can't wait any longer (after all, it's just pop music), but the hype and excitement around it are fading fast... As someone else said "It just doesn't feel like we are getting a new album"  (and nobody knows about LG7 anyway)

 

Her fanbase in general isn't thriving either. We lost so many loyal soldiers during The Two Great Jazz Wars and the Nurtec-nheimer era. 

 

Now, with the focus shifting to DWAS for LG7 it might even get worse

I still think the simple explanation for this phenomenon is that for most of the fandom, "stanning" is viewed as a hobby, much like how sports fans follow their favorite teams during championships. It's all about entertainment, and they want to feel that excitement and anticipation for what's coming next. 

 

The original plan to ride on Joker's success was already set on a Feb release so now that DWAS took over as the success to ride on, I can only think of vinyl and physical editions production as the reason for the album to be pushed back if and only if DWAS really was added that late.
