Where is Break My Soul’s 2nd week at #1?! 
 

C’mon Billboard! 

I think the only songs from the past that are sure to make it are : LOT, RTW, CIL, SL and Formation.

 

I hope she finds a way to do at least 10-12 from the album. I rather she leaves some songs out than to have a very long songs' list and not sing songs entirely.

Ultimately she can do whatever. I just hope most Renaissance material make the cut.

The second week drop for Renaissance isn't great, I really wanted another 100k+ week. She did it with all her other studio albums, even 4 which debuted with similar numbers. 

 

Waiting patiently for the next move.

The perfect setlist would be:

 

✅ the entirety of Renaissance (1 hour)

✅ Already, FYWB, Bigger, My Power, Savage Remix, Before I Let Go (20min)

✅ old classics, she has time to do 10 of them which is enough (40min) 

❌ no mashups please

❌ no dancing to old rap songs 

❌ no covers 

❌ no tributes

It’s not because they barely included retailers in this rollout and now all her CDs and vinyls are gone. With a normal drop, she wouldve stayed at #1 with at least 150K.

On the bright side, this could mean more weeks in the top10 when the physicals are restocked next month. 
 

Idk I have yet to see the brilliance of this rollout plan while we still wait for visuals almost 2 months later. Beyoncé has yet to make an appearance as well.

 

Im genuinely curious to see how this plays out. I’m happy to see BMS got a second week at number 1, deserved.

Yeah, the rollout just seems poorly planned, but it also seems purposeful at the same time. Delaying everything is a double edged sword with hype.

Pertaining to the Grammys do you think the snobby voters will use the sample nonsense as an excuse later on? It seems to be an “issue” now. The discussion around Renaissance kind of annoys me because the brilliance of putting these sounds together and making it cohesive goes over a lot of heads. 
 

Also, kind of annoyed to see so many artists jump on the “house” bandwagon now.

 she's certainly playing the long game. she has two more albums to roll out though, she's probably trying to prevent overexposure.

I’ve always thought that that was one of the main, if not primary, reason Kanye never won AOTY for literally any of his like first 5-6 albums, all of which were insanely acclaimed (and continue to be) and did well commercially on top of it.

She could do a Renaissance only show if she did something exclusive like a few nights at Radio City or something, which I would absolutely love.

 

For an actual tour? Lol no way. You could maybe make a case for an arena tour but a stadium? Vast majority of people are there for the classics. 

FYWB and Already need to be the only TG songs.

The only thing is...Beyonce hasn't had a perfect setlist since TBE IMO. With every new album & concert...she always leaves off songs that people wanted to hear. She didn't do 6 Inch until the last date of the tour...I also expected to hear Pray You Catch Me or Sandcastles on the tour. I remember we wanted "Disappear" live but she gave us Satellites...the most boring song. There's some of us still waiting to hear "Start Over" live too....so on & so forth.

 

I can see her leaving off some favs and forcing a AUIYM live moment instead

I hate this overexposure talk because no one says that about Taylor and Adele when they are in a new era. They show up everywhere, interviews, etc. 

 

It is not asking much to release a video for the first single, let fans know if there is even a second single push. Should we be requesting cuff it at radio? There’s nothing wrong with riding the hype wave.

all up in your mind goes with bow down/flawless so yeah that one is definitely being performed too 

 

i can see her leaving AHAP as an interlude. i dont think she's gonna do that one live tbh. i can see her doing Honey during the Blow/Naughty Girl/Summer Renaissance/Cuff It/Party/Before I Let Go section, but not so sure about Pure.

 

thique would be great live with a water feature. heated is a fan fave but i can see her omitting that too.

taylor swift definitely played the long game during her folklore/evermore/red TV rollouts and only dropped a single visual per era. she actually is very good at preventing overexposure.

 

adele releases albums every 10 years and barely tours so she's never overexposed.
