She didn't go into Renaissance with goodwill either. She was coming off The Gift and her streams weren't any better. 

I think she could still make a splash once the lead single comes and people will finally see her off the cowboy hats that turned some fans off.

 

I do think she won't top Cowboy Carter opening numbers though... she's will be more in the Renaissance type of debut.

Ehh, I don't know. I think she went into RENI with some great goodwill and excitement because after a string of side projects, this was the first time since 2016 she was focused solely on her solo project! Also, at the time, we didn't have any idea that she wasn't going to do anything and was injured. 
 

I think we have to take into consideration for "LEMONADE", "EVERYTHING IS LOVE" and "THE GIFT", she went immediately on tour and released visual albums. Instead of doing interviews done LEM, besides the Super Bowl interview, she opted to do live performances at various events, in which she performed the whole album on different stages. I think ppl naturally believed she was going to recite this formula for what was billed as a dance heavy album. 
 

Not to mention, it was already leaked she was releasing two genre focused albums and she confirmed this by trolling on her site and her Vouge cover story being so music focused. There was more hype drummed up for RENI, but it was a slow burning organic stream of hype. 
 

With "COWBOY CARTER", she didn't really play into her trolling until the Grammy's, but it wasn't as on the nose as her Super Bowl. Even the hype of her performing at the Sphere was gaining more traction than the new era rumors, then she released a commercial, and that alone was out the norm for, premiering new music. Now, this happening in the midst of the of the RENI tour film created a natural shock that propelled "TEXAS HOLD EM"to number. 

I think that supposed "goodwill" would absolutely be there if she pushed heavily into the trilogy format: release the visuals for all three acts, release some kind of documentary footage of about the recording of the albums, sell a special boxset including the three vinyls, etc. 
 

I hope the break after the CCWT is at least giving her time to get vinyls right on release date: only one limited exclusive vinyl with alternative cover and the regular one with the booklet.

i see what you're saying and i kinda agree, the vibes are definitely off but she didn't go into Ren with any goodwill either lol. people swore she was a legacy act'd flop back then after the two monstrous bombs that were EIL AND TG. public perception, goodwill and stuff like that simply don't impact her all that much. let her release a good lead single, an interesting/mysterious teaser for the album announcement or a quick appearance or visuals tease and the goodwill will start pouring in. she's kinda the personification of that terrible Never Really Over katy song 

 

When even a greedy private concert in a dubious country gets you more praise and hype for your tour than backlash you're kinda bombproof idk 

 

hell something quick as the verizon ad would drum up tons of hype, even her just taking off the fried blonde wig and country hats alone will do that

While I don't endorse her every move (see: her frustrating ways), I find the success of Cecred even more amazing because she isn't at the forefront.

 

Remember all the chatter on launch about how hands-off she is/was and how it would be another business faux pas. And I was admittedly worried, as most successful celeb brands DO require an overt alignment.

 

Bey letting the product do the talking with periodic tap-ins (e.g showing her hair) has been amazing. And I think it's the smartest long-game play. By making Cecred stand on its own two feet, its long-term prospects are not explicitly tied to the "heat" of her celebrity (which, as we all know, has its ups and downs). 

 

It's also THE extracurricular venture of hers that speaks/resonates most authentically to her core audience and encapsulates the themes she's most renowned for championing (Black womanhood and the beauty it embodies).

 

 

 

For B9 aka Act3, i need Bey to come in mad as ****.

 

BMS and especially Rennie was smooth, glam, sexy, funky, vibey, bawp-y

 

THE and CC was introspective, moving, for the most part calm, heartwarming

 

Act3 aka the Rock act better be feisty, angry, mad, ferocious, sexy.

 

I need Freakum Sisters mad sis, DHYs older stepmom... I need energy that only Bey can give me. **** me up hoe!

I lowkey want the lead single to be 6+ minutes long. Give us a certified rock/funk CLASSIC

I hope the majority of act iii has been re-recorded. I feel like there's a lot I want hear from her on everything that has been said about her in these past years. We need another "Bow Down/ I Been On" but rock

As with Acts I and II, I think we can expect one of the more basic and watered down songs as the lead. 

 

Maybe we'll get a 16 Carriages slay along with the lead though!
