the Daughter performance was great and gave us chills. if you saw the show from a cheaper seat, it was absolutely effective. I agree, when I saw the show from a floor seat, it didn't feel as impactful.

 

she's an entertainer and she's getting better at spectacle & catering to the whole crowd. that's why I sort of don't love FWT — it's designed like a theater show, arena show at best. it's a monumental show (first woman to tour stadiums) but she hadn't figured out how to upgrade her stage setup and performance yet.

Does anyone remember a Twitter beyhive that used this photo of viola davis as their profile pic? They would argue all day for hours but claim they don't "stan" her or anyone. They got banned eventually. I wonder if they post on here. Speak up now sista!

CCT's production value and staging is clearing FWT and RWT.

 

and yes, while there were some cons to the arrangements and overall production, there are issues on every tour. FWT also suffered from technical issues that caused her to cut sweet dreams and that rig that spins her upside down for the entire tour (until the very last show in which she used it for 6 inch). Also her not thinking about what the freedom performance would look like in cities in which she couldn't use the water feature. RWT suffered from those giant platforms on the circle runway that obscured a LOT of people's view of the main stage (which was fixed for cct) as well as other technical issues like the power outage, the robots not being waterproof (and only being used for the first 30 seconds of cozy) and of course her knee meant she was giving maybe 50% of what she normally gives for about half of the tour. 

 

you can find negatives in every tour she does. if you look at the positives though CCT is RWT with a bigger budget. bigger screen, better interludes, better lighting, better stage design, better robots (that are used for more than 30 seconds), plus theres much more spectacle. she's on a mechanical bull, has a whole B-stage to perform to the back of the stadium (so everyone gets a decent view of her), lots of props, the LED floor giving the upper-seats an interesting show as well. a lot of y'all prefer RWT because you prefer RENAISSANCE as an album. but if RWT had the CCT staging, y'all would be easily saying it clears.

can we cut the "Best stage design" out of discussion, if you have no idea where to put your most expensive ticket tier groups at during the ENTIRE tour, then there's a problem with the design of the stage. Lets just say you like the fact the stage is shaped in a symbol

 

Also that triangle slit she had in the middle of the screen made her impossible to see unless you are looking dead straight at the stage

i mean....this was an issue on RWT and CCT. the most expensive seats at RWT were on the stage and everyone was either looking at her back or craning their neck up to look at the screen literally 2 feet away from them.

actually forgot about this, I felt bad for them (and laughed.... until karma had its kiss for me during CCT when I was in sweet honey pits)

back in 2016 there was no tik tok, now people just focus on negativity and stage mishaps, which are normal alway. CC or Rena did not suffer from major technical issues (screen going off during AS or her car issues are for sure entertaining these days but those do not constitute a major tehnical isue that marks the tour - shakira had to caancel her dates due to stage cracking and not being safe, that IS a proper issue).

 

If any of her old tours took place during streaming age when focus is on negativtity and short clips without contexct, people would be complaining! I remember, RWT/ I thought it was a mess based on Tik Tok and the haters narrative...then i went for a few nights in person and it was way better then the negative narrative online. Now that CC came and went, somehow RWT is considered amazing by same people who criticised it before.... People are odd and biased creatures, and my fellow *junior) hive quite negative and winey.

 

CC is the most superior tour in terms of stage and her desire to be as close to the audience as possible, even having a bastage. 

Musically it is also better with better playlist flow and pacing. Rena was A+, cc is A++...
