Someone here said the outfits look better in real life and that's so true, every outfit last night looked spectacular and I loved how the dancers matched her too. The new Levii's outfit was cute.

Don't go. This show is not for you, please do everyone a favor and don't go

Beyoncé's fans have been particularly negative this era. No shade because I love the Hive.

Frankly I want to avoid all that negativity but I don't know where I can both get updates, videos of the tour and avoid it. The base is not it and mostly empty and the discord is 20 negative that get all traction for 3 positive comments that get zero. It's so okay for Hives to shade Beyoncé for humour, it makes no sense.

Funny enough every stan who went loved it.

I understand that people didn't want this tour and they think it's a bad idea but still.

I completely disappeared when OTR II happened because I wasn't interested.

It's also annoying to read over reactions about how awful London 1 was selling when it looked like this in the end?

Anyway I will just drop in periodically here and on discord to see videos or feedback from the fans about changes etc and bounce until my date.

I understand what you're saying but Beyoncé is so far and away better than anyone else, as a performer and a recording artist, stans hyperfixate on the tiny mistakes or there would be nothing to talk about, other than her being the best.

Also, the truth is there were some glitches with this tour. Odd planning, weird ticketing tactics that ended up hampering sales. It's unusual for her when everything is mostly flawless.

Yeah but we don't need to talk about it /7737373733838383 times every day. User @BnPacis absolutely right. The negativity has been insane and such a downer. Like stay home and don't go already.

Well those are constructive criticism. "I wish she had more shows on weekends" "the planning needs an ajustement" "the dynamic pricing is not a good idea and discourages fans". "I prefer the gold outfit to this one" "The white outfit is not to my liking" "I enjoyed this song better last tour" "the mix is not to my liking" etc. Those are constructive and respectful opinions. And usually when you have said it twice, you move on.

"No one is going to show out in London" "this tour was such a bad idea" "the tour should have not happened""she's lipping everything" "everything is so lazy" "when she performs to an empty stadium then what?" "bbl" or talking about her body should not be the default just so we have something to say.

But to each their own, I am not standing in anyone's enjoyment, if voicing negative opinions is that for some. I really like the show so I was just expressing my hope to find a place where I get to bask in my love for it. And would like to avoid fans monitoring her body or voicing that the tour shouldn't have happened every two days or so while doing so.

The Hive has always been extremely negative and critical of Beyoncé. There's a difference between genuine, helpful criticism and just plainly rude comments that near the level of hate, in my opinion.

I just feel like the Hive on here is just haggier than other platforms.

BODYGUARD has been playlisted at Radio 1, the biggest radio station in the UK.

They did the same thing with "VIRGO'S GROOVE" when the RWT was touring here. It means nothing.

At least Bodyguard works much better as a radio song. A gay may dream that this snowballs into sth bigger, but its unlikely, true.

It's not that I don't think London will eventually be fine in terms of attendance, it's that I'm irritated by Parkwood for their bad planning which has caused shows to sell a lot slower than they should be for a star of Beyoncé's stature.

we can tell ourselves that it's fine all we like, but there'll be a team back in LA sitting around a table right now trying to figure out how to ensure act iii's tour can sell more like RWT than CCT. A lot of that will come down to ticket affordability and performing on accessible days of the week.

Thats all

I hope the radio edit cuts out the oooweeeoo intro for time and cuts straight to her perfect deep voice because it shocks me every time

They did? Wow.

Was it a good edit with the end? The song is quite long for radio and the last 1 minute or so are peak music. I don't imagine how they managed to play. But the fact that it was at least heard by some in UK on radio is such a win. :clap3:

The edit was honestly messy since it obviously cut the mesmerizing last minute of VG where Bey just ascends (vocally speaking).

VGs excellence doesnt come from the chorus, but the entirety of the song and the change in rhythms and the vocal display. So the shortened version didnt really work imho.

Bodyguard will work much better, so heres to hoping we get to experience a Cuff It 2.0

Oh indeed, if they cut that part, it's too bad.

A good VG's edit would be with the middle shortened and keep full last minute.

I think the same with. 2H2H.

I hope Bodyguard works.

Went to London yesterday! Sweet Honey pit! Amazing time!

Because I'm me, I'll share my essay (lol) notes (especially on that standing section) in due course.

But all in all, the Queen reigns!

yeah don't expect anything from bodyguard being in the lowest BBC radio slot, it won't get an actual push and end up going nowhere just like VG (which didn't even make it out of the tier 3 bracket iirc :rip:)

The Radio edit for Virgos Groove on Radio 1 was not very good tbh, they cut out the euphoric second half. Was a weird choice to send to radio when something like Cozy was picking up steam and having viral moments. Hopefully Bodyguard can push through the noise !!

Were your tickets vip or non vip? Glad you had a great night!!

Bodyguard is way more radio friendly than Virgo, like it's made to be a hit - Virgo's structure was strange for radio or commercialism.

The floor in London has WAY more people than the US shows had, I'm really curious for attendance

Quote

It's thus far attracted the usual laudatory reviews [...] but it has also been attended by news reports suggesting all is not well. There is talk of sluggish ticket sales and demands for refunds from fans who shelled out full whack for seats on release, only to see them going for vastly reduced prices as the gigs drew nearer. One headline-grabbing complaint noted that tickets for her LA show were now "cheaper than a McDonald's Minecraft meal".

Tonight, Spurs' stadium is visibly not sold out. Perhaps that has something to do with her country-inflected album of the same name. It certainly proved its point about its author's ability to master any musical style she set her mind to – it made her the first Black woman both to have a No 1 album on the US country charts and win a Grammy for best country album – but its actual sales were about half those of its predecessor, 2022's house music-themed Renaissance. [But] Beyoncé's ability to sing and dance up a storm [is] a given.

She performs Dolly Parton's Jolene as if it's a prelude to murder rather than a plea, and the songs from Renaissance – Thique, Cuff It, Alien Superstar – take on a punishing, relentless edge in their live incarnations. You don't have to buy into some of the more hysterical claims made on Beyoncé's behalf by her most ardent supporters to find the show variously moving, powerful, relevant and hugely enjoyable, to think it casts the material from her most recent album in a different light and lends it more potency in the process - or, indeed, to think that those who chose to skip on buying tickets might have missed out.

Interesting 4-star review from The Guardian of Beyonce's first tour date. (He gave the CC album a 4-star, too - he's a tough critic but a great writer). It's a shame the meta narrative is dominating this tour but I think it's part and parcel of her stardom at this point.

I may be wrong, but it looks like more people on the floor than they had for RWT, too
