I hated hearing it over and over as someone who knows how this show works very well.

 

but I think it was great that they focused on this, especially when Bey won AOTY. it's not about "buying" or directly a result of Jay's speech, though I'm sure that may have had an impact on some voters. every other (music) award show is about who's attending and who's performing and who's doing favors behind the scenes etc.

 

the Grammys have always been 100% democratic. they used to have nomination "committees" but final round was always fully based on votes. it's just that they've had a lot of shakeups, an ex-employee leaked their committee tea, and they've been working to improve diversity within the Academy. this year really felt like a different voter demographic, so kudos to them.

15 year old Billie stans hating on a black woman who was actually robbed her entire career in the main categories. Target someone else with that top 2 and #2 album, consecutive 0/9 Grammy losses. 

 

Incredibly overwhelmed and overjoyed that Beyonce finally won the AOTY. Such a beautiful honor

There could literally be one million negative comments on Beyonce's IG about how she doesn't deserve AOTY and it still would not and would never change anything.

 

It wouldn't change the fact that almost 26 years later, a black woman has won the award for Album of the Year.

 

The fact that it took that long speaks volumes and the fact that it was Beyonce especially during this month, it really means something.

Can't get over the bra wire breaking the fabric and peaking through. Shame on Schiaparelli.

Oh and one more thing:

 

Billie's fans or anyone else's fans leaving negative comments about Beyonce is not going to change the fact that her upcoming tour is going to be completely sold out.

 

People are not going to all of a sudden stop paying attention to Beyonce. If anything it's going to give people more of an interest despite people making up stupid claims about there are "empty seats" and "unsold tickets" (which are both exaggerated).

I'm not taking majority of these Billie fan serious. Gen z doesn't know anything music history or importance of an album with actual lyrical depth. They just like emo-core, 90s and 2000s cosplay, and victim noises music. They want to bring up stats well CC is a #1 album. Can't say the same about the other one!
