Industry politics. It would draw more viewership for Beyoncé to perform the song than Ledisi, the artist everyone was raving and expecting to perform the song. Pretty much a pointless performance!

Highkey hate that performance. "One Morning Soon" from the same soundtrack would've actually been perfect. Some of their runs actually sound like 2003-2007 Beyoncé. Put B with a blues guitarist like Gary Clark Jr. or Leon Bridges? Perfection.
