Cowboy Carter is not something you can listen to as a whole numerous times. It has multiple tracks and is a slower album which is not a bad thing. Renaissance is more easy to listen to. Renaissance is catchier but Cowboy Carter is better in my opinion because it is a mix of slow and uptempo songs.

Since yall were discussing nose in here earlier. Can someone PLEASE agree her vma performance was not all that? (Whew I sound like a Beyoncé hater). I remember watching it live and not thinking anything of it beside it being super autotuned and wondering if she'd blink in the end. Like… I'll give her a finger snap for the ending but everything before that was extremely mid. Seeing it labeled the best vma performance of all time by so many… imagine if Beyonce did that ****. Y'all already know what would happen.

"Schoolin' Life" should be her a concluding track tour staple moving forward (similar to "Halo", "Love On Top", and "XO"). The messaging is so fitting with her current brand, and it mixes celebration and introspection.

(I get "Shining" as the closer for Beychella with all the trumpets, but this would've been great too.)

Apparently, a 'source' told Metro.co.uk that Columbia lost their minds when they heard the finish song and believed it would be a smash hit after "BREAK MY SOUL". I'm not sure how true that could be with an artist like Bey, who values the art of music over promotion of said art! 
 

I love hearing the unfinished mix and comparing it to the finished mix built up completely. The mix actually sounds how one of the producers of "I'M THAT GIRL" described its mix before he worked on it, someone posted the interview here. 
 

This is definitely one of the songs that is interesting to hear being created, I wish we could hear more of these 'leaks'. Artist are moving into releasing their demos and reference tracks in their unfinished stage on their anniversary or special edition re-releases, but she'll never do that. For someone who's spent the last 12 years preaching about embracing imperfections, she's still hell bent on being perfect, just sloppier now!
