I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

Could be an issue with AMC

To add to this I wish she would start releasing anniversary editions of her old albums. They've always been a thing but recently it seems like they're becoming more popular again. Artists such as Ariana, Mariah, Janet, Gaga, Alicia Keys, Nicki, John Legend have all recently released them. Even Taylor is cashing in on nostalgia in her own way with the Taylor's Versions.

I was hoping we'd get a 20 year edition of DIL last year but she let it pass without doing anything.

Is it maybe because she doesn't care about revisiting her old stuff and would rather keep moving forward? I kinda get it but it feels like there's untapped potential.

She won't do this for another 20 years. Be real

The other thing I can't really fathom is why she's doing this on... Christmas Day

As a mother to very young children, this is a really significant decision she's made.

To me, that indicates some sort of fire under her ahhss to really create a moment with this album - which excites me. But as it's Christmas Day I just cannot imagine there being many dancers or musicians willing to give up their day for a 10 minute Beyonce gig. But then...who of us wouldn't give up their family holiday one year for a Xmas with Beyonce?

It's all a bit confusing. And really hard to picture tbh.

2 things:

- many people don't care about Christmas or celebrate Jesus' birthday like that

- many people continue to work on Christmas Day. they just typically get paid overtime or double. nurses, retail workers, restaurant staff, cops and firefighters etc. assuming/hoping it's similar for those workers — all the camera operators who will be working the entire football match, lighting, sound tech, the stadium employees, security, food vendors, marching bands, cheerleaders... world doesn't stop on Dec. 25.

Next week might be awful. Gaga getting a new #1, Trump winning and Cowboy Carter getting snubbed at the Grammys. Might be a great time to log off.

Maybe I'm terrible at predicting things.

If yall had the choice between her announcing a CC Tour OR Act III at halftime, what would yall choose? I personally would choose Act III. I can deal with her skipping the "rodeo" tour and later touring Act III (or a combination of the three acts)

Act III by far.

Id probably prefer a short stint at the Sphere over a tour. She can film and release that to close off CC era. Tbh I don't think it is wise to hack away at her touring demand if she is just going to do the same locations as always. Better off just waiting til all the acts are out and doing a proper global tour to wrap it up.

A small residency with a streaming release would be perfect. :duca: Maybe like an 8 weekend thing or something.

Announce tour at the Grammys

I used to skip Just For Fun when it came out cause I found it dreadfully boring.

Now its one of my fav songs on CC and one that clearly aged the best. Its giving missed-single-that-couldve-turned-out-to-become-a-classique status.

Why?

this is the main reason why I'm leaning towards it being pre-recorded :rip: hope I'm wrong, but yeah we'll have to see.

TASTE! The last chorus with with the choir always hits for me. I really hope she's gonna perform it at the Grammys next year, 2 weeks after Trump's inauguration. Speaking of songs we recently warmed up to, Spaghetti kinda grew on me, at least after the Tha-Knowles line.

I secretely think it could be a very cute moment at the Halftime.

Sth in the vein of:

Intro: American Requiem (statement + grand opening)

Second Song: Ya Ya (energetic showstopper, gets the people up from their seat)

Third song: Just For Fun (midtempo piece, thoughtful, good message)

Final: Texas Hold Em (Upbeat Ending that everyone knows -> festive and cheerful)

I think Act III.

CC did what it needed (commercially and culturally), but calling a spade a spade it didn't deliver on the endless virality of Rennie. So its lifecycle, I feel, has come to its natural close.

With the whole Acts thing, maintaining audience interest should be the paramount goal and should come with ample flexibility. So, if CC became this huge huge huge cultural moment, then yeehaw...let's go on a Rodeo tour for a year. If not, push on to Act III.

I actually feel like an all-encompassing tour is the way forward.

Pushed by the visuals (at some point in Q1), the creative would be sooooo easy. Three distinct Acts/Worlds in which she performs much of each album as well as her broader catalog material that easily fits into each.

Such a tour has the potential to go on forever and really icon-i-fies the whole three-act thing even more.

Hell, even if she wanted to wrap it up and return with a Vegas residency a few years from the tour (e.g. all three acts "up close and personal"), it would work and further recement the Acts thing as her most iconic thing yet.

I would be the most surprised if she announced a COWBOY CARTER  WORLD TOUR. Before, or after, the performance I can see either:

- A Sphere residency/gig; especially since she hinted at Vegas in "II HANDS II HEAVEN"

- A "rodeo"-type Coachella-esque announcement of sorts that feature other Black country artists

- "RENAISSANCE: A FILM BY BEYONCÉ" on streaming (Netflix/Prime Video)

I truly think she'll do another world tour once act iii is released. It wouldn't make sense to tour each and every act if she's releasing them ~two years apart from one another; think about the children and her ankles lol

The article for Bey that Billboard has in store is gonna be interesting to read. A lot of folks get rightfully reminded of her insane longevity.
