  • It was the best concert of my life, bar none. Idc!    It was extraordinary, it was ineffable.  I knew I loved it based on the videos but I... Hey I don't know.    Best moment

Idk how to describe it but I always loved how 'clean' this song feels. Its simplicity is beautiful.

Why does Diva sounds so good on the TGIF beat? Damn! One of the best mashups I ever heard.

As far as i know he made a poll on Twitter and asked people between Beyoncé, U2 and Gaga. The streets are saying he is a beyhive so let's hope and pray.

She's not gonna go the VR route, let's be real for a moment. The tech isn't ready to go mainstream yet, way too heavy, bulky and expensive for the general audience. The utter failures of the Sony headset and Apple's Vision Pro are proof of that. I know the Tidal songstress doesn't always shy away from handicapping her own art, but releasing the much hyped, long awaited visuals with VR in mind would ultimately be a death sentence, unless it can be consumed the regular way as well.

Please.

if any of y'all had the opportunity to see The Weeknd's music video he shot for the AVP you would pay anything to get Beyoncé's team involved. It would be better than seeing her on tour

this perfect song :jonny4:

Monthly reminder we need Bey to do a live-action acting role again. Preferably a musical. I will die by my opinion that she was actually amazing in Dreamgirls.

As some of you may know, J Cole recently met with Jay-Z and the Roc Nation team to buy back his masters after his six-album rookie deal was completed, a number was negotiated, Cole paid it, and he now owns the master recordings for his first 6 albums.

Before releasing his seventh (might be final) studio album, he has re-released a bunch of his pre-debut mixtapes to streaming platforms over the past month. His most acclaimed mixtape Friday Night Lights contains a very obscure Beyoncé cameo in the vein of Frank Ocean's Pink + White called "Home For The Holidays". (She does backing vocals on the chorus) If all goes to plan (as he's remarkably been able to clear all of his Kanye West and DJ Ski samples so far for the first two mixtapes released)... we have a new Beyoncé pseudo-Holiday song coming out on November 27th.

Low-key has some potential.

Here are a few more obscure Beyoncé/DC features we might see officially on streaming moving forward:

J Cole can suck a d*ck.

He let the whole world speculate about that shitty "She Knows" song as if he was confirming Beyoncé was a f*cking predator like Diddy by not saying a word.

I'll be skipping it.

That song is from 2013 and mainly alludes to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and those FBI rumors of him having affairs... with Coretta maintaining a "woman's intuition" as to what was going on. :rip:  I don't take the song seriously in 2024 with the Diddy scandal, and the money from the song is all going back to Roc Nation, TBH. They picked the wrong song lol.

I agree. She should do a movie every few years. It's a shame she gave up, maybe the roles ain't there?

The roles have been there. Most recently, B turned down a non-audition, first-pick role of Plumette in the live-action musical Beauty & The Beast (2017) directed by her Dreamgirls director Bill Condon, as well as turned down the non-audition, first-pick role of singer Darlene Sweet in Bad Times at the El Royale (2018). After she turned them down, both went into the audition process to find their actress.

TBH, I think she took this second Lion King role because she wants to continue to strengthen her relationship with Disney, as well as work further with Barry Jenkins and Lin-Manuel Miranda in the future. Both have publicly stated they have wanted B for their projects for years.

I didn't know this. I guess she doesn't want to act in that way anymore.

i didn't know about Bad Times at the El Royale. i suppose that happened in the period after she gave birth to the twins and during her preparations for Coachella. it's possible those were the reasons she declined the role

were there more movies she turned down or that just didn't happen for some other reason? we know about A Star is Born

Valerie in Josie & The Pussycats (2001) - Aaliyah (deemed "too serious"), Left Eye (auditioned twice), and Beyoncé (deemed "too quiet") auditioned for the role, but it was won by former Jay-Z girlfriend Rosario Dawson.

Honey (2003) - According to director Billie Woodruff, the filming conflicted with the planning of her debut tour.

Lois Lane in Superman: Flyby (2004) - definitely was a rumor back then, but the film was never made.

One Hit Wonders (2012) - A Cameron Diaz / Gwyneth Paltrow musical comedy directed by Ryan Murphy, it followed a similar premise as Girls 5 Eva. The film was never made.

There were also rumors B wanted Tiana in Princess & The Frog  without an audition, but I'm skeptical.

Is Beyoncé a pop artist or not? I need to know cause I keep flip flopping depending on the narrative.

I feel like she's doing this because she's not doing a Cowboy Carter tour and just wants us to have some performances from the album before moving to act iii.

This is my best bet. I don't personally need a CC tour. I prefer her drop ACT III in short order (January) then go on tour this summer with something for all 3 Acts.

She can be pop, rnb, funk, house, trap, hip n hopping, blues, country... You name it. It's limitating to put her in a box but you can adjust your arguments based on the era of reference without labeling her sound as a whole.

Pop just means popular. Don't let ATRL make you think that pop music is only catchy, formulaic bops that can be sung by white ppl. Beyoncé, especially to the GP, is about as pop as you can get. And she's still able to, and is allowed to, step outside of that box if she feels it limits her. I hope this helps :)
